Yet again a good stay.
Pros:

Yet again a very good stay. Friendly staff and owner, room clean and spacious. Bathroom clean and spacious.
I ate at the pub on my first night. Chicken kiev. Made to order, it was succulent and tasty.

Cosy room above a friendly pub in central yet quiet location
Pros:

Above very friendly pub close to centre in reasonably quiet street. Very good value.

Cons:

The night I was there was a Sat and it was live music night. Very loud until midnight. Take your earplugs if you stay on a Sat. Ight but I think any other night of the week would be ok

Very clean and modern design room

Cons:

Above all, it’s a very nice place, but the room was uncomfortably hot, making it very difficult to sleep. Providing a fan is essential, especially during warm weather like this. A fan would have made a significant difference to the comfort of our stay.

Everything was in very nice condition, my single room was a good size with everything I needed, comfortable bed, nice linen and towels. The bathroom was spacious and a good powerful shower.

Cons:

I hadn’t realised my bathroom was across a landing, but it wasn’t a problem, I didn’t bump into anyone.

Pros:

The staff was lovely. The place was close to spotless. I work in cleaning and found one or two things that most others wouldn't spot but that's just me so really, no complaint. The room was really cozy looking and the complimentary coffee was a god send. I had an issue (below) that was promptly resolved by management past 2200 at night. Super chuffed (and impressed actually). The room was easy to access and easily secured inside. The TV was basic but good enough. For £30 for 1 night, I was actually expecting a lot less. So big thank you for the room, the cleanliness and the assistance. I'll book again if I have to do another overnight in Boston. Oh, and apart from the issue below, the place was quieter than your average modern library.

Excuse the photos. I took them after I'd stripped the room for housekeeping and was about to check out.

Cons:

Not the landlady's fault but another guest from about 1900 onwards kept slamming his door every two minutes and stunk the place out with cannabis. I wrote a quick email to Jan about 2200 and the behaviour quickly subsided. Again, not the hotel's fault. I smelt cannabis again at around 3am. Jan has assured me the guest is no longer allowed on the premises (I think, if I inferred correctly).

The room was quite cold even with the heating on but with it being a Grade II building, it's going to have it's draughts so I wrapped up under the duvet in my fleece pj's which I'm glad I bought along. Really can't complain for £30.

A good and comfortable room.

Hard to find location.
Lots of stairs to climb up to room - difficult to climb with a suitcase.
Bathroom showers needs cleaning around the outside edge!

Home from home
Pros:

I arrived on the hottest day of the year and met Lenny. He was welcoming and helpful and indicated that i had been upgraded to a bigger room due to the original room being smaller and probably very hot. As usual i find my stay veru good, the attention paid to my comfort is superb and all thd staff and landlady are friendly and helpful.

It was a bit unusual but we did get a good nights sleep anc can’t complain about the price.

No separate bathroom. We arrived on an unusually cold day so some heating would have been nice but it wasn’t turned on.
