Great central location, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean facilities, great private shower room.
Even with the heating on, the room was a bit cold
The pub is down a quiet side street less than a 5 minute walk from the market square and under 10 minutes from the train station. Lovely rooms, comfortable single bed. Own toilet and shower, not en suite. Host was very friendly and gave good instructions on how to get back in outside of opening times. Would happily stay here again.
At my age, an en suite toilet is always useful 😀.
The room was clean and comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities, tv, ensuite bathroom. Although only there for 3 nights, the staff & pub regulars made us feel like we were amongst friends at our local.
Stairs are not ideal for children or those with mobility needs. There was notm designated parking but it wasnt difficult to find a nearby spot. We look forward to our next visit.
The staff! Without a doubt! Nothing was too much for this well oiled machine that cracked out great food from that little kitchen or seeing me to my cosy room… which was just wonderful (never had a corridor in a room), that is my take away! Dinner was tasty, and have no complaints about the wait time… I will stay here again, when I’m next in Boston!
The walk from the railway station at night was a little unsettling… dimly lit roads and pedestrian walkways that felt unwelcoming… this is no fault of the hotel, but it ment that when I was in, I was in for the night!

The staff were very friendly, room was freshly decorated and the bed was comfortable.
Complimentary bottled water was very welcome. I had my own dedicated bathroom which was very clean and warm.
The bathroom was across the hall but only a very minor gripe considering the age of the building and price for the night.
It was vibrant lively good value for money, the staff were great especially Teacey and her colleagues.

Great location and value for money. Great to have bar and food below. easy access in and out after trading hours. Staff very friendly and helpful. Single bed comfortable.
Only complaint was the radiator in room 4 even at highest level was lukewarm and it was extremely cold outside, so room was cold all night. that radiator needs bleeding or looking at to ensure the room heats up. hopefully an easy fix.
Bathroom was separate which was not perfect but you had your own one just across the hall so not the end of the world. no milk for tea/coffee in the morning unless I missed it or it was mentioned but forgot.
This was our second visit and we will be there again. Staff and patrons give a friendly, comfortable 'at home' atmosphere.Delicious home made food.
