Came to have Sunday lunch and to start it was ok. Waitress could have smiled.
We ordered Sunday lunch it came not much on the plate. No one came to ask if our meal was ok or if we would like another drink.
Once we finished our meal we sat there for half and hour and I had to go up and ask if someone can take our plates and bring dessert menus. But I could speak to anyone straight away as the manager and the waiter was chatting at the bar.
Sorry but the food was below average and service was even worse!
Everything was perfect. The food, staff and room.
Nothing really.
Close to Brinklow Marina. Lovely country location. Staff were very friendly & accommodating.
Fantastic food , brilliant staff nothing was too much trouble.
This is a nice pub/restaurant with nice staff, nice rooms (so I am told) and serving good food. Its one drawback is that you can't get a decent pint as they don't keep any cask beer. I have eaten there on a couple of occasions as friends have stayed there while attending local events but would not do so normally as I want a decent pint if I go to a pub. What a pity!
Stay here every year when going to the grand Prix always a warm welcome, lovely place , amazing food and the staff can't do enough for you.
Free parking
A very small room.
TV : could not tune to BBC1 or 2
Shower stand rusty
Very little toiletry
Easy access and parking
Room a good size, had all the needed provisions.
Breakfast was delicious, using local products which were excellent quality.
Unfortunately we were in the room nearest the exit door to reception, so heard everyone leaving and could hear some room noise from above.
We enjoyed the menu options at the restaurant and the bar had a very nice selection of wines and spirits to choose from. Was thoroughly enjoyed. A nice touch that breakfast was included within the booking and had selection of items to choose from including a full English to cereals to jams and toast.
Rooms are rather outdated and could do with an upgrade.
Foo dis fantastic
Friendly host, quiet and peaceful, good road links to main routes, excellent food available
Nothing, it was all lovely
Room comfortable and very clean, excellent shower / water pressure, food was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The wifi in my room was a bit patchy.
Clean and tidy Breakfast. Just stay for breakfast
The reception wasn't where the reception sign directed you, too.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Food in the bar location was good, (lamb shank was very good).
Bar soft drink price seemed high for a rural location in middle England.
Owner staff were fantastic
Staff very friendly and helpful. A very good evening meal. Accommodation clean.
The bedroom was a small single, very shabby, bathroom looked clean but had a distinct smell of mould. There was also an intermittent noise from machinery coming from outside the room which went on through the night.
Clean and comfortable as always and we always have a meal in the pub/restaurant as its excellent. The team are always very welcoming and friendly.
The hot breakfast was freshly made off a menu and there are a selection of cereals with yoghurt.
Plenty of off street parking.
