The staff were very helpful
There was no hot water the whole time of our stay. The room was not very clean and the food was below average. The tv did not work properly.
Staff were incredibly helpful and kind, breakfast was excellent, bed was comfortable.
Rooms were slightly cramped and uneven floors but it was absolutely fine for a night or two, and probably the nature of the old building.
Staff were nice enough
No hot water or water full stop in the bathroom. Unable to shower.
Good location, bedroom was good. And they had fans in the room due to the heat. The breakfast was excellent and the staff in the morning were very good.
trying to park was difficult, the bathroom was poor and the place was a bit run down. It served a purpose but it is in need of a makeover.
Staff friendly; great breakfast and nice bedding
Impossible to sleep in small hot room in heatwave despite fans and open window. room remained too hot
Great location, great staff and the best food ive ever had chips wise. Great stay.
We stayed in one of their family apartments. All appliances worked really well and were clean. The personal was a big bonus. Good hotel breakfasts cooked to order and always fresh. Very good local knowledge for advise on where and how to visit sights in surrounding area.
The apartment could have benefited of a deep cleaning, such as under beds, corners etc. The bed had a broken leg but as there was a second bed in the apartment, we used this one instead.
Location was good
Staff.. breakfast and rooms are a disappointment
Location and the food was good
Our room. Number 1 was like something from the 1970's.
Very outdated. Dirty carpet. Rock hard pillows. Shower head did not fit in the shower support. Had to hold the shower head. Very hot room. Had 2 fans but full of dust and fluff!
Very small room. And the room faced on to the beer garden which was extremely noisy.
Staff were miserable and inviting apart from 1 female bar staff.
Room spacious
Character property
Helpful kind staff
It was old fashioned and a bit scruffy especially the bathroom and restaurant areas. The parking was full one night and the other night extremely tight getting out as cars had parked too close either side and there was a brick wall facing so no room to manoeuvre . Breakfast overpriced
Warm place and lovely environment
The waiters / waitresses take a long time to take you order, but once you order they are fast
Location
Shower was filthy with last tenants left over shower bottles and mold around bath
Breakfast coffee was cold.
Poached egg felt like it just came out of the fridge.
7am wake up from people outside the window in garden arguing. No staff in sight
Good breakfast, friendly staff, centre of town
Small room no air conditioning
Really central, welcoming and comfortable, also had character. Delicious and big breakfast :-)
There was nothing I didn’t like, it was perfect for our one night stay.
Very friendly staff,lovely atmosphere
Quaint Hertfordshire town, and the old bull central to it
