Nothing
Shower not working. Handbasin cracked and chipped. Very dim room lighting.no reading lights working. Only one bedside light working. Most of menu at dinner and breakfast not available. Paint work chipped, carpets and windows dirty.
Staff were pleasant. Food was ok.
Too many stairs up to bedroom. (48 in total)We were in what I would call the attic. There were spiders and cobwebs in the bathroom. Shower had black mould on the tiles. When reported the manageress cleaned it herself with bleach.
Good location close to Cragside. Breakfasts good. Bed comfortable. Staff are friendly.
Carpets desperately need a deep clean. Kitchen closed early twice in three days without notice, meaning we had to source takeaway food. There was no room service during the three days we stayed and no prior communication about the kitchen closing early
2 nd visit def recommend
Nothing
The room was fine. The shower was boiling hot and we could not change it.could not connect to Wi-Fi.the room was right at the top of the house. 3flights of stairs, and at 81 years of age this was very challenging.

The location
Cleanliness ,tap dripping all night , smells of damp and of cigarettes awful breakfast no bread or cereal no eggs on cooked breakfast.
Great breakfast, comfortable bed
Great location, very busy staff friendly despite being extremely busy. Room spacious well equipped.
Room was like an icebox duvet wasn't thick enough. Radiators only came on for a limited length of time and were only Luke warm despite thermostat being on highest setting. Icy blast coming under fire door adjacent to our room door. Heavy condensation on windows. Room door loose and rattling having been jemmied at some stage. Corner of carpet had been chewed by something.
We have stsyed at the Quuens Head mny times over the yesrs. Highly recommended..
Convenient location
Far too expensive for what it is.
Right in the centre of the town, lots of history and atmosphere. Live music in the bar was great. Randomly there for the switching on of the Christmas Lights.
Just needs a wee bit TLC ie new carpets and a lick of paint, room was comfy and clean and good value
Rothbury is a lovely place to visit and very close to Cragside a national trust property and wallingham Hall. Our evening meal was very reasonably priced and very nice . The staff were very friendly.
The radiator in the bedroom was full on all day and night and the control didn’t work so it was so hot , I think they knew about this as the window was propped open but they was no air in the room . The shower water was scalding we just couldn’t use it it was dangerously hot we did report this .
