Pros:

Very nice neighborhood, absolutely no outside noise (from the room with a view of the garden). A window looking at the sunset (from the aforementioned room). The bus stop is very close, with multiple buses to the city center and Portobello Beach. Daily groceries and a bigger one (Morrisons) are within a 5-minute walk.

Cons:

It is an old house (which is a plus for those who love things from the past) with old water pipes, so the shower pressure is low. Not unbearable.

Pros:

User Gastgeber war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Er hat uns praktisch jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen und war sehr bemüht das Frühstück zu einem Erlebnis zu machen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Cons:

Leider ist der Straßenlärm bei den Zimmern die in Richtung Straße gehen, sehr laut. Da gerade eine Hitzewelle in Schottland ist, war an Schlafen ohne Oropax nicht zu denken. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern stört der Lärm allerdings kaum.

Comfortable stay while visiting Edinburgh
Pros:

The Ellwyn house is located about 2 miles from the city center and is located close to a bus stop which takes you directly into Edinburgh.

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. I didn’t hear any other guests while I was there. The rooms were clean and had drawers for clothes a small shelf and chair.

The manager was very helpful and pleasant. He waited up for me as my flight was delayed.

Cons:

The bar and restaurant advertised at the house were closed so don’t plan to have dinner. But there is a pub about a 5 minute walk from the house.

Pros:

Colazione più che dignitosa.
L'hotel, pur essendo distante dal centro città, si raggiunge facilmente con il bus 26 le fermate sono a due passi dall'hotel.

Das Bett war sehr bequem.

Cons:

Für den Preis war es ziemlich schlecht. Kein WC Papierhalter, die Dusche hatte keinen Druck (habe es gesagt, wurde sich angesehen und "repariert" immer noch gleich schlecht), Bad war nicht sauber. Das Frühstück war mehr als entäuschend für 15 Pfund. Es gab Croissaints und Toast, keine anderen Brote, 1 sorte käse, 1 sorte schinken. Seeehr entäuschend.

Pros:

Meget venligt personale, hjælpsomme. Morgenmaden var fin med kaffe, yoghurt, cornflakes, toast, æg, bacon og croissanter. Nem adgang til buslinje 26 direkte til midtbyen.

Cons:

Hotellet er temmelig nedslidt. Der var meget koldt på vores værelse (juli måned), og vi kunne ikke tænde for radiatoren. Hele hotellet kunne godt bruge en hovedrengøring.
