The food was great and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The room and bathroom were lovely. I couldn't fault any of that. But I had to give a low score due to getting very little sleep because of the noise!
My room was at the main entrance restuarant, toilets and the loud voices and banging doors were constant until just after 10pm. I was then woken several times due to what sounded like a loud generator starting up and then there was a number of loud voices outside and a car skidding around in the car park. I must have got about 2 hours sleep when the staff started to arrive at 7am and the noise inside started again. I had booked and paid for 2 nights but left after one night. No refund for the room offerred but they did refund the next days breakfast after I asked. I would definitely recommend for a meal but not for an overnight stay unless you are a heavy sleeper. Or maybe the other rooms upstairs/away from the entrance/carpark are quieter!
Food and accommodation excellent.
The staff are all polite, positive and cheerful. The food was delicious and the evening meal was outstanding.
Room was smallish but plenty hot water and a comfy bed.
It's a dog friendly hotel.
We stayed in late January and the bar restaurant area was rather chilly. We were a party of 4 and after dinner we continued to sit and played cards but it wasn't a comfortable temperature. My feet were freezing by bedtime.
Just be aware there is a double room situated next to the restaurant’s gents toilets, overlooking the car park.
Room 3, which is what I got.
Plenty good enough, but pretty small and we probably got put there because we had the dog with us.
Anyway, the staff were faultless, the room was clean and warm, so all in all, good enough.

Das Frühstück war wie immer in Grossbritannien reichhaltig mit guter Auswahl.
Das Zimmer war sehr klein, v.a. das Badezimmer, wo es kaum Ablagefläche gab. Auch die Unsitte mit einem Spülbecken mit getrennten Kalt- und Heisswasserhahnen ist ein Ärgernis. Die Ablage über dem Spülbecken war defekt und nicht zu gebrauchen, ebenso das Nachttischchen auf der einen Seite des Bettes. Das ursprünglich gebuchte 2-Bett-Zimmer ging geradewegs auf die extrem befahrene Hauptstrasse hinaus, so dass wir das Zimmer zum Glück wechseln konnten.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were impeccable with their hospitality and customer service. Food was outstanding. We will be back….

A lounge area in the bar. the bar was an overflow of the restaurant so felt awkward taking up a space just for a drink.

I read the reviews before and everyone said the staff were so lovely but couldn’t quite believe it but it was true, everyone was great if only all hotel staff could be like this! Credit to the owners/managers. Can’t recommend enough.
The rooms are small but we knew that. The bathroom in room 1 could do with a little tlc, just a lick of paint around the door frame (inside).
Comfortable with friendly staff, tasty food and very good value for money.
Our room faced on to a fairly busy road, which was a little noisy from passing traffic during the night, though the views towards the church and Largo Law were brilliant.
Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Food was good quality and excellent value.
The room needs a little TLC particularly the bathroom but it is an old building and that places limitations on any upgrade.
