Comfy beds
Bar meals
Dog
Friendly
En-suite shower room very small and could do with a shower upgrade
Wonderful Staff: All the staff members I interacted with were incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful.
Great Location: The hotel is situated in an excellent and convenient location.
Vegetarian-Friendly: I really appreciated the delicious vegetarian options available for dinner.
Excellent Hot Beverages: The breakfast tea and coffee options were absolutely fantastic and a highlight of my mornings (loved it!)
A Minor Breakfast Issue: The only negative experience occurred during breakfast when I asked for hot milk instead of cold. Unfortunately, the milk brought to me was curdled (spoiled/separated after boiling) and not drinkable. Aside from this isolated incident, the rest of the breakfast selection was very good.
We were really impressed, wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was! Very traditional, clean and comfy. Gorgeous home cooked food, a little on the pricey side for some (£21 for Scampi and Chips!) but portions were huge! We were very well fed too at breakfast. Gorgeous views too.
Happy with everything!
Great location with lovely views over the valley. Outdoor area fabulous for soaking up the sunshine. Staff were friendly.
Our room was in the annex. It was perfectly nice just a bit dreary. No WiFi code in the rooms.
Bathroom too small.
The location is wonderful. Views from our room were beautiful.
The staff were all really welcoming and helpful.
The room was cosy and comfortable.
We didn't really want to leave.
Parking and manoeuvring in the car park is tricky.
Staff were fantastic. Friendly are always happy to help
Beautiful property with lots of history and in a beautiful location
The location was perfect and so picturesque and with panoramic views. Located just above village of Braithwaite. Can recommend Royal Oak pub for excellent food. Easy drive into Keswick. Great shopping and outdoor market.
Breakfast was only 8-9am and would have preferred option of just a little later as we were on holiday, so we missed breakfast.
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, food good, location good for exploring.
The location
Breakfast starts a little late if you have a long walk planned (and need to get on); would be nice to have some fresh fruit available.
Everywhere was very clean and tidy and yet there wasn't lots of rules.
It was very busy early in the evening 6 through 8pm, but emptied quickly after that (booking tables was available)
Would of liked a secure drying area, to enable drying of boots and waterproofs
