Great place and cracking breakfast
Pros:

Comfortable room, with an excellent breakfast. Quiet location - we were only passing through for a night, but would be a great base for exploring the area.

3 night stay Coledale inn
Pros:

Gardens were beautiful with lots of comfortable seating, breakfast was included and was lovely, dining area was also lovely and airy and light, staff were attentive. First large room was lovely and big with parking and outside seating( mix up with room)

Cons:

On arrival no booking logged, able to accommodate however had to change rooms after first night. This was frustrating as we were unable to properly unpack and relax. Second room was much smaller in comparison, due to heatwave temperatures, the second night was dreadful and so hot, no fan in room and unable to sleep. In addition payment not processed, deposit paid but guy who took it didn't record so they requested full payment on departure, which was not ideal, however able to verify from bank app. I appreciate the weather was unusually hot, but unable to provide a fan, despite informing them what an awful second night we had.

Fabulous location and friendly staff, very dog friendly
Pros:

Fabulous breakfast, nothing too much trouble for staff, all excellent and the beer garden with view was icing on the cake in hot weather.
Dog was made very welcome instead of tolerated like some places
Although states Keswick location it's far enough away to.be quiet, peaceful and tranquil especially during busy summer months

Cons:

Only thing was could hear some noise from neighbouring room ...early morning loud snoring but nothing hotel could change. Ear plugs if you need total silence in any hotel

An excellent stay in a fantastic located hotel.
Pros:

The location is excellent. The staff are so friendly and willing to help.

Cons:

It was a rare exceptionally hot period in Cumbria - the hotel had no air conditioning which made sleeping tough. However this is a very traditional hotel so I appreciate putting this in would be very difficult. This is the only downside of the hotel.

Probably not stay there again
Pros:

The location was great. The outside space was lovely. The breakfast was good.

Cons:

The room was too small, there was nowhere to put anything in the tiny bathroom. The bed was not comfortable and it was up 4 flights of stairs which was awful for us 80 and nearly 80. This should have been pointed out when we booked. If we had known there would be 4 flights of stairs there is no way we would have booked. Evening meal of fish and chips was a huge plate of chips eneough for 3 people with a fish sitting on top. We are both good eaters but there were far too many and we both left over half, total waste of food and money.
