Friendly helpful welcoming staff. Lovely food. In a pretty location within easy distance of the M1. Pretty garden with a stream and also a fish pond filled with huge fish. Lovely room, comfortable bed.
Staff were friendly, the breakfast choice was good, and overall quality of food very good. The room was small but sufficient, and the surrounding area was very pleasant
The early finish to food and drink availability in the evening was a bit if a surprise, and might be an issue with some
Breakfast good, evening meal good
Room was a bit small
Great welcome from the team and lovely quiet location.
Just the hot room but nothing can be done about the weather, the fan provided helped a lot.
As before, staff are so helpful, food is all home made and always fresh and tasty 😋
Amazing hospitality
Clean and comfortable
Food was like a tea at nannas, absolutely beautiful food
Nothing
The staff were very nice and extremely helpful.
The room was very pleasant if a bit dated and the bed was not overly comfortable in our room, although my daughter said the bed in her room was very comfortable.
The breakfast was excellent.
To be honest there is nothing I didn't like.
Lovely quiet place.
Friendly staff, very accomadating.
Room was great value for money - clean and comfortable with everything you needed (and a window that opened!) Not too mention the Bathtub.....oh wow! perfect for a relaxing bath lover like myself.
Had slight trouble finding it originally maybe a few more signs on the way as sat nav tells you wrong place!!!
Good food and friendly staff
What a little gem tucked away next to the stream, so lovely - clean, staff lovely, food great and Hawkstone on draft 😁
Nothing
Delicious breakfast
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Well kept hotel.
The train and military memorabilia are very interesting. Breakfast was good ( full English). There could have been more variety with juice and jams ( only orange juice and marmalade provided.
The hotel is at the end of a road practically in an industrial estate. Evening meals are served on plates that are smaller than average which makes them.look.like they're children's meals.
You have to get a taxi if you want to go anywhere other than a pub called The Gate.
The bar/ restaurant closes approximately 8pm!

Everything
Great place plenty of parking and great food and staff are very friendly
Nothing comes to mind
Bed was comfortable and bathroom was modern and clean
It was in the middle of nowhere and the pub shuts at 7:30pm - so by the time I arrived there was no food. Reception was closed but eventually someone came out to let me in. I was given a number to call in case I needed anything as was told the staff had all gone home.
I called the number several times but no one answered. I had no car, so ended up ordering a take away.
I actually felt quite vulnerable as a lone woman as there was no one around and no one answering my calls if I needed help.
Lovely place. Would definitely go back and recommend it to others looking for somewhere to stay.
Really traditional pub, loved all the interesting things around the bar. Outside area was large, clean and well presented. Parking was good also.
Staff were all friendly and helpful.
The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean also which was really nice
