Beautiful setting, very relaxed feel with anticipatory staff.
Really fabulous
Breakfast was fantastic even with a power outage. Dinners were exceptional. Staff were very attentive and helpful, they always checked in with us to see if we needed anything. The room was comfortable and clean with a beautiful view of the bay.
Luxurious country decor and comfort, engaging staff and personal treatment, sophisticated and delicious food. Loved the historical connections.

the venue and the whole lodge are amazing! located in the south of the Skye Island a bit far from all the amenities of the north but also from the confusion of the tourist. The suite is really large and beautiful! Dinner and breakfast are simply excellent!
The staff was helpful when we asked, by the way we did not have the feeling of being treated as hosts of an expensive suite, probably we were not the right target with a 2.5 y.o son.
Beautiful views, comfortable room, electric car charging available
There were lots of minor things wrong with this property but once things go wrong it kind of escalates to frustration. We were so looking forward to staying here but left disappointed. Our room was on the ground floor but had no sound insulation so we heard every sound made upstairs including talking and snoring. It made us feel intrusive into someone else’s stay! No milk, teacup or teapot…. We went into the main house to report this and told it would be done before we retired for bed it was not! Dinner was disappointing for the price paid…. Incredibly salty which was mentioned to staff at the time. If you wanted the cheese board which we did you had to pay a £5 supplement….. given that it was only one of three choices and you had paid over £100 for a three course dinner seemed unnecessarily mean! Towards the end of our meal the staff were setting up for breakfast very noisily which was again unnecessary as it was before 10pm! We were given a 45 minute window to choose when we wanted breakfast when this was queried all earlier slots had been taken by earlier diners! Perhaps asking guests a breakfast time when checking in may be a fairer option! Breakfast food was again very salty and this time inedible…. The room was dated and worn…. And a curtain was hanging off its rail…. Again pointed out to staff but did raise the question with the missing tea items if the room had been checked before letting Guests in? All in all very disappointed to have paid £715 for this one night experience!

Breakfast and dining experiences were delightful. Beautiful dining rooms. Our room had a wonderful view of the loch.
Stunning scenery and beautiful accommodations. Each morsel of food was out of this world.
Nothing
History, location, food

The location is, of course, outstanding.
The bathroom looked tired; there was nowhere to put our washbags other than on the floor or the WC. The breakfast was fine, but it wasn't what we were hoping for based on previous visits. Some of the little details we enjoyed on our last stay were absent.
The dinner food we spoke to a number of guests who all were disappointed
Breakfast not as other less expensive stays
The restaurant food was of an extremely poor standard, and not worth the money. It was very disappointing and we will not be recommending the Lodge to others.
