it was a quick overnight stay fairly close to a motorsport event, it ticked all the boxes with on street parking outside the Inn, food served hot without too much waiting. food reasonably priced but drinks 'top of the range'. bed comfortable but access to private bathroom was interesting! i took a BLT sandwich in lieu of breakfast as I departed very early
bedroom heating had to be requested and in did not stay on all night. the single sandwich was nice but limited when a full breakfast was on offer if I had been leaving later
Friendly helpful
Great local family type pub with digs above, great staff, nice food and a really friendly feel about the place. Great location for Revs bike park also.
The climb up the stairs after 8 pints 😂
The food and service is excellent. The host pleasant and pleased to help when needed. THe facilities are clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is easy going and we was made to feel welcome.
Didn’t stay for breakfast.
The facilities were very tired . Had doubts about cleanness. Very lumpy pillows.
Perfect breakfast
Filthy pub not fit for a dog never mind peaple
Evrty think not good
Hosts are fabulous. Answered my questions in relation to routes to get where I needed to go and very sociable. Easy going and the food is outstanding.
The couple were unusual, but very friendly, and helped with my luggage. Massive bathroom, wonderful shower. The evening food smelt nice, but I'd already eaten, so didn't actually eat that there. An interesting looking town.
Although I had a private bathroom, it didn't open off the room, so took my key with me to use the bathroom, for fear of getting locked out in the night. The breakfast was rather greasy. Parking was across the road in a public car park, so a bit difficult for me. There was no chair, or anywhere to sit at to use my laptop for a lecture I was booked into, and no accessible electric sockets reachable from sitting on the bed as they were behind furniture.
Food was very good.
Bed wasn't very clean, had hairs and bits in it. The floors and stairs were dirty. No mirror in bedroom or chair and shower wasn't very hot. The whole place is very shabby!
The owners and bar staff were lovely. Had a really good chat with them in the evening.
The evening meal as well as breakfast were both excellent. Very tasty.
The room was warm and comfy. The whole building could do with a facelift. Very dated and in need of up-dating. However the food and geniality of the staff make up for it.
Great breakfast. Very friendly place. Good selection of ale in the bar. Lovely town
Nothing
The location was convenient for our trip. Staff friendly and excellent breakfast.
Lots of stairs to room.
Friendly family run Inn, quiet place so great if you’re after a relaxing getaway. The food was really good, I’d go back just for that. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even with the downsides, I’ll consider staying again.
Not an issue for me personally, but finding out on arrival that toilet and shower are in separate rooms might put some people off. Also, there were hairs in the dressing gown and bed, which could make me wonder if they had been washed/changed.
