After the evening meal that we had,we were definitely not eating breakfast. I had a first and a second choice for my tea but had to resort to a third option because the first two were not available. Both meals mine and my partners, were absolutely tasteless.
Entrance to room was filthy, coffee stains on the wall, leaves and soil all over entrance carpet, spider webs and dirt on bathroom window ledge, lack of plug sockets and none next to the bed, only one bedside table. Felt like being in a cave,no window in the bedroom as it was on lower ground and back wall was backfilled with soil. Room felt cold and damp. Thatch roofing almost non existent, gardens overgrown, weeds in all the flagging etc, etc. We have stayed there before and it was one of our favourite places, but it has really gone down hill.Needless to say we will not be staying there again.
The staff were very welcoming very attentive
Our preference ,the mattress was too hard and I tried to book a meal for the Saturday on line but nobody got back to me although the staff were able to accommodate us
Staff lovely and in a great location
Room very basic and dated, big gap under the front door, quite noisy 'neighbours' in the evening and morning - albeit the hotel can't help that, tv not adjacent to bed - so difficult to watch, loo needed a proper clean- although rest of room was immaculate. Only one socket
Kettle needed descaling and rooms a little tied looking
We have been here on numerous occasions and have always had a good time great location for attractions Blackpool preston and only another hour for manchester
Breakfast was outstanding
I think the gardens were a bit unkempt, they they have always been very tidy when i have been previously
Breakfast was incredible and the staff were more than accommodating when one of our TV's was damaged. Its such a cute place to stay and we all said we would definitely stay again.
One of the lights in the room was quite a bright harsh white, so we didn't use it, but i'm nitpicking, we loved everything!
