Le matin la musique a été un peu fort/trop. Le local à skis pourrait être un peu mieux arrangé avec un plus grand nombre de pantoufles, de niches/reduits, etc.

If you like being far from noise city , go there to Schwarszee Hotel
Pros:

The staff was pretty nice.

Einfache Unterkunft in wunderschöner Lage
Pros:

Super Lage direkt an der Skipiste mit direktem Blick zum Matterhorn und insgesamt wunderschönem Bergpanorama. Am Morgen kann man direkt am Hotel in die Gondel steigen und zum kleinen Matterhorn hochfahren. Wir hatten ein Zweibettzimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad gebucht. Das Zimmer war bei Ankunft schön warm geheizt und Dusche und Toilette waren unmittelbar neben unserem Zimmer. Auf der Etage gab es noch ein weiteres WC. Wir mussten nie "anstehen". Die Dusche war schön warm. Im Zimmer hatte es ein Waschbecken und ein kleines Regal. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig (leider keine Eier, aber sonst gab es alles mögliche). Es gibt einen Skiraum.

Cons:

Das Zimmer entsprach mitnichten dem auf booking.com gezeigten. Unser Zweibettzimmer war sehr klein mit Dachschräge und war mit einfachen Liegen ausgestattet, die aus Platzgründen wie ein Doppelbett standen (was wir eigentlich nicht wollten). Die Bettlaken hatten diverse Löcher, die Handtücher Flecken, beides nicht sehr appetitlich. Das Abendessen (Halbpension) war qualitativ nicht gut und quantitativ sehr knapp. Wir haben beim Hauptgang um Nachschlag gebeten und diesen zum Glück erhalten - danke dafür! Im Restaurant unten war es ziemlich kalt. Im Skiraum gab es nur eine einzige funktionierende Lampe, es war ziemlich düster dort. Das angetroffene Hotelpersonal war freundlich, sprach aber mehrheitlich nur Englisch. Kurzum: Für mich stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider nicht, weshalb ich das Hotel trotz der schönen Lage nicht wieder buchen würde.

Hinweis für alle, die abends gern noch ausgehen oder feiern wollen: Die hauseigene Bar schliesst um 21h30. Die letzte Gondel zum Hotel verlässt Zermatt um 16h00, danach kommt man dort nicht mehr hin.

Stay for the early morning view not for the food
Pros:

Staff was friendly and helpful! Great on piste location.

Cons:

Food was mid. Breakfast was lacking and sparse, if you did not get up at 7:30am. Dinner was a bowl of mushy macaroni and cheese, titled main. Served with cake… that was frozen. Most likely because it was not fresh and not thawed fully. Food 1 star. At $500 a night I would expect better.

Pros:

We could not reach the property because lights were not operating. They have is one window at 4.00 pm that we could not make. They will not refund even of lack of ability to join the facility is completely out of the customers control. I do not recommend booking here. No flexibility of any kind

Good stay
Pros:

Basic hotel but a needed and appreciated break from hiking around Matterhorn. sink in the room, otherwise shared bathroom clean and available. The on-site restaurant good. The dinner included in half board - you could choose from a few positions on the menu. excellent soup. Breakfast good and with many options. Located right next to the cable car station.

Cons:

hotel a bit dated and prices high compared to what you get.
