Great location for ski holidays!
Pros:

The location is absolutely spectacular, ski in - ski out. The staff is super friendly and the food was very good.

Cons:

The sinc in the bathroom downstairs was not working and although I mentioned this, no one fixed it.

Det er et sted med sjel.
Å ligge i senga og se rett opp på Matterhorn er jo som å være i en drøm. Inn- og utsjekk gikk knirkefritt. Hyggelig personale. Frokost og middag inkludert

Cons:

Det er litt trist at man nå skal bygge om og pusse opp. Jeg håper de klarer å beholde sjarmen og sjelen som ligger i veggene. Det sagt, det er forståelig at man pusser opp og fornyer siden tiden har stått litt stille på Schwarzsee

Menu was not the best. Some main courses were not amazing. However the Stroganoff was great!

Bettwäsche, kaputt, Reissverschluss
Badezimmer extrem eng, Abfluss leicht verstopft
Mir ist klar, dass wir auf einer Hütte übernachtet haben, aber für den Preis hätte ich schon wenigstens gerne ganze Bettwäsche, frisches Kissen und ein Abfluss der funktioniert
Terrasse, leider ohne einen einzigen Stuhl, für was gibt es dann eine schöne besonnte Terrasse vor dem Zimmer???

Absolutely fantastic
Pros:

Best hotel if you want to enjoy peace and a stunning view. After skiing is done, only the hotel guests remain, so the atmosphere is very calm and quiet. You can take a small walk in the evening, look at the stars, and enjoy the full Matterhorn view almost all to yourself. It’s also amazing to start your day already on the slopes.
I really liked the hotel, for the price, and considering that it is located up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere, it is truly excellent. The dinner was very tasty with huge portions, and I liked that you could choose from a few different options. Compared to dinner, the breakfast selection is not as extensive, but it is absolutely fine. The staff was very kind and welcoming.

Cons:

I honestly don’t have any negative comments. Of course, for this price and location you should not expect a 5-star luxury hotel experience, but I didn’t need that. For me, it offered everything I was looking for. If you prefer staying in Zermatt with busy bars and nightlife in the evening, then this is not the right place for you.

Abbiamo pagato 70 euro mezzo litro di vino in caraffa e due bottiglie di acqua. Fate attenzione il cambio franco svizzero con euro non è corretto e ne approfittano.

Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen.Bad extrem klein,man kann sich kaum drehen.Waschbecken (Syphon)war undicht.Bettwäsche alt und mit Löchern.Im Zimmer roch es muffig,Kopfkissen nach Rauch von Vorgänger.Frühstück sehr sehr einfach,Salami,Schinken,eine Käsesorte.Marmelade abgepackt.Brötchen waren gegen 8.30 vergriffen und wurden auf Nachfrage auch nicht aufgefüllt,was weg ist ist weg war die Aussage des Personals.Ein Leib Brot war die Alternative.Auch das Abendessen sehr einfach,Penne mit Tomatensoße beispielsweise.Kein Salat.Kleine Portionen.
