Sehr angenehmer, kurzer und erholsamer Aufenthalt
Pros:

Auf meiner Velotour bin ich kurz vor Walenstadt in ein Unwetter geraten und habe kurzfristig per App im
Hotel Churfürsten gebucht. Ich kam total durchnässt im Hotel an und wurde herzlich empfangen. Am Tag darauf konnte ich etwas später wie normal auschecken und somit bei besseren Wetter meine Velotour fortsetzen.

Good potential, but the experience didn’t match the price
Pros:

The hotel has potential, but unfortunately our experience didn’t quite match the price we paid.

We arrived on a Monday and found the hotel closed, and we hadn’t received any instructions in advance on how to access the property. We tried calling, but weren’t able to reach anyone. After some time, we found a staff member inside, but there was a language barrier, and it was difficult to understand the situation.

Eventually, after waiting for about an hour, we discovered that the keys had been left in a mailbox outside, labeled with guests’ surnames — it would have been very helpful to receive this information beforehand.

The hotel itself was very quiet, and while there is a shop and a café nearby, everything seems to close quite early on Mondays (around 4–5 pm), which is something to keep in mind.

Overall, for €200 per night, we expected a smoother and more comfortable arrival experience.
