The location is excellent, right on the beach and very convenient for surfing. We could walk with our boards to the beach and be in the water within minutes, and it’s also close to restaurants and shops in Santa Teresa. The studio was spacious and the pool area is nice. The bed was comfortable enough for our stay but small.
The cleanliness was not up to the standard we expected for the price. The daily cleaning was very basic and the room often did not feel properly clean afterwards, apart from the bed being made and a quick clean of the floor. The bathroom was not cleaned properly and we were left without toilet paper. We decided to cook in the studio because the included breakfast is very minimal - there are only two options (a continental with eggs, fruit and toast, or the tico breakfast with rice and beans). However, the kitchen area was also not cleaned properly. The cleaners only come until around 1pm which it’s not common for hotels. The restaurant staff were friendly but the service was quite slow and not attentive.
The hotel is right on the beach, very friendly and helpful reception, easy parking close to the room (maybe because hotel was not full). All the staff were friendly and breakfast was decent although perhaps a bit limited (only one cup of coffee included !) . Good choice of reasonable restaurants within walking distance.
The room was huge but more like a motel than a beach hotel in terms of decor. It was a fair walk through the property to the beach/restaurant/pool and it was close to the road. There were some cabins along the path to the beach which looked more in line with the jungly/beach atmosphere. We visited 2nd half November and the rainy season had finished (as is normal) yet the hotel (and 2 others we stayed at in Costa Rica) seemed pretty empty, in spite of the perfect weather. I was told it was the shoulder season yet the prices here (and elsewhere in coastal Costa Rica) seemed very much high season.
O lugar é lindo, muita natureza, os quartos são grandes.
Todos funcionários são maravilhosos.
É um pouco escura, a piscina poderia ser aquecida, muitas vezes a água estava muito gelada.
Amazing hotel. Absolutely amazing people work there. Sunsets, restaurant, hammocks, yoga. Rooms types are different. Was good value for money for that period of time.
I can’t tell that I didn’t really like anything.
Best value for money you will find in Santa Teresa. Tropico Latino is an excellent beachfront hotel that offers breakfast at the beach restaurant. They are always doing the little extras to make you happy. The staff is so friendly, thanks to Guadalupe and Andreas from the reception and all the waiters at the restaurant. The food is excellent. The room was so spacious, with a comfortable bed and pillow (!!). For some reason, most hotels have horrible pillows, but here they were great. Yoga and training offers and facilities are so great!
Sometimes, the instructor did not show up for the training - but I guess it's not the hotel's fault. Everything was great!
Loved the beautiful gardens , monkeys , food , restaurant, kind staff and sea side location.
The bed wasn't good enough and the internet routers need to be better and more of them especially at the restaurant
The best structure to welcome you in Costa Rica upon your arrival where spending 5 days in complete relaxation is automatic.
Pacific Ocean welcomes you with its waves for guaranteed fun. Breakfast by the ocean ... wellness by the sea ... great. I suggest a Thai massage to recover the parts of the body that sometimes you forget to have
And that sound of the waves that accompanies you for a long time can be liked or not ... it kept me company a lot especially when you fall asleep
You are right on the beach. Multiple people stay there, but the layout gives privacy feels as if you have the place to yourself.
Because there was a lot of rain while we were there the water in the shower would not go down in the toilet was bubbling two nights in a row. If it weren’t for this limitation, everything else was great.
The vibe is very chill

Drinking water. The watter was not drinkable in the room. You had to go fill up the one bottle provided which was too small. I would provide each person with their own bottle and maybe have house keeping fill them
