I want to take a moment to sincerely thank the entire team for such a wonderful experience during my stay.

I truly enjoyed every moment and I’m so grateful for all the hospitality I received. Everything was incredible — the location, the beach, the property, and every meal I had at the restaurant.

What stood out the most was the kindness of the staff. From arrival to departure, I felt welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for, almost like family rather than just a guest.

A special thank you to Josue, Oscar, Vanessa, Steven, and Elena, along with so many others who made my stay so memorable. I also loved the friendly animals on site — they were such a sweet and memorable part of the experience.

I just arrived home this morning and already find myself missing being there. My stay exceeded all expectations and is something I will always remember.

Thank you again for everything. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing stay in Costa Rica, and I truly hope to return in the future.

Cons:

The only thing I didn’t personally enjoy as much were the thunderstorms — I loved the rain, but the storms were a bit too intense for me. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Relaxing end to our very busy weeks vacation.
Pros:

This was a very cute boutique hotel right on the beach. Easy access to area. Walk right out to the ocean. Everyone on staff was very friendly and always helpful.

Cons:

The restaurant location was excellent and the staff great but food was not all great. We ordered salads that were not very good but breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful Stay
Pros:

Wonderful staff, beautiful location. It's more rural so not a huge variety of restaurants/shops around to access without a car but if you're looking for a lovely, quiet, beach stay then it's perfect. The sunset is gorgeous on Playa Hermosa!

Would absolutely stay here again! I wish we would’ve have stayed longer, everything was perfect

We stayed at Hotel El Velero for a day trip from La Fortuna. I wish we would have stayed at least one more night, it was so amazing! Staff was incredibly nice, the restaurant & bar was so delicious, it was literally steps from a beautiful black sand beach, where we had free chairs, waiting for us, along with many excursion options right outside of the hotel - surfing, catamaran, I even got a very reasonably priced massage on the beach. The hotel had a lot of charm, but also very modern updates and finishes. Great air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, comfortable bed, large shower, easy, free parking for our rental car. Everything was perfect. I wish we would’ve stayed longer!

We loved our stay and will definitely come back!
Pros:

The beds were amazing. Soft and comfortable. The room was in the main floor so we could just walk straight out to the resident and the beach. We loved the staff. Everyone was so kind and remembered things we liked to eat and drink.
