Pros:

La chambre 16: magnifique avec vue sur le Rhin et la salle de bain spacieuse.

Cons:

Les réceptionnistes peu professionnelles , peu accueillantes ni souriantes.
( tenues non adaptées et sourire, bienveillance en option??)

Pleasant hotel reasonably located for exploring Koblenz
Pros:

We booked an apartment annexe, which turned out to be in a completely separate building further down the street from the main hotel. The apartment was generally fine with ample space and a comfortable bed. Breakfast in the main hotel was also good, with attentive staff. A little way from the centre of Koblenz, it is worth noting that at the time of our stay, it is not possible to walk all the way from the hotel to the German Corner alongside the Rhine because of major renovations currently being undertaken. A parking space immediately beside the apartment block was provided, but it is worth noting that this is not very wide and may not be practical for all types of car.

Cons:

We discovered that the sliding door separating our bedroom / lounge from the bathroom / toilet was not sliding correctly and was difficult to move. We reported this to the Hotel Kleiner Riesen receptionist and she agreed to raise this with the housekeeping staff responsible for the apartments. This she duly did but on returning to our room later that day, we discovered that someone had indeed come but had simply taken the door off altogether, reducing our privacy significantly. On mentioning this the following morning at checkout time, the receptionist did not really seem too bothered. This experience somewhat mirrored our check-in experience when the receptionist initially failed to give us our room key to the apartment and did not mention that it was in a completely different named block (Villa Augusta), meaning we had to return to the main hotel for further clarification.

Im Großen und Ganzen war der Aufenthalt ok.
Pros:

Das Schlafzimmer war sehr schön. Die Lage direkt am Rhein hat uns gut gefallen.

Cons:

Die Zufahrt zum Parkplatz im Nebengebäude war sehr eng. Man hatte zwischen Wand und Außenspiegel nur 10 cm Platz. Ein SUV würde nicht hindurch kommen. Auf Anfrage gab es keine Alternative. Die Instandhaltung des Bades lässt zu wünschen übrig. Sehr schwaches WLan im Nebengebäude.

Room with a view
Pros:

Very friendly staff, room was really nice with a juliet balcony and view of the river. Breakfast in conservatory was excellent.

Cons:

Parking space was a bit tight, and a bit away from hotel, but very manageable.

Großes Zimmer mit kl. Mängeln direkt am Rhein
Pros:

Die Lage direkt am Rhein ist fantastisch. Leider ist die Promenade am Schloss aufgrund von Sanierungen zurzeit gesperrt und man muss dadurch einmal um die Rhein-Mosel-Halle und dem Schloss herum laufen.

Cons:

Wir waren im Extra-Gebäude, der s.g. Villa, untergebracht. Die Villa 1 ist insgesamt sehr groß, ist im Wohn- und Essbereich etwas spatanisch eingerichtet. So wäre am kleinen 2er-Sofa ein kleiner Couchtisch ganz schön, um z. B. ein Getränk abstellen zu können.
Auf beiden TV-Geräten konnten nur 2-3 Programme empfangen werden (ZDF, VOX, ...). Des weiteren waren im Schlafzimmer die angeklebten Fußleisten halb abgelöst.

Ideal für einen Rhein-Tourismus Aufenthalt !
Pros:

Sehr schöne Lage direkt am Rhein. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und lecker. Sehr freundliches Personal.
Sichere Unterstellung für das Fahrrad! Stadt, Seilbahn und dt. Eck gleich zu erreichen.

Position by the river and not too far from the station

Cons:

No airconditioning therefore very hot. There was an evaporative cooler in the annex when we stayed there but it was not strong enough to cope with the high temps
