Very helpful host
The best things about the place were the good refrigerator, the air conditioning, and the reasonably comfortable beds.
Where on earth did all these glowing reviews from previous guests come from?
I’ll start from the beginning. The room was supposed to cost €140 per person. According to the Booking.com agreement, our room was supposed to include a kitchen with an electric stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, and a jacuzzi/hot tub. None of these facilities were available in the room. So where did this astronomical price come from?
We had agreed with the owner in advance that she would arrange a transfer from the airport late in the evening. The transfer was arranged, and we arrived at the hotel at 1:30 a.m., absolutely exhausted.
Immediately upon arrival, the owner demanded that we pay in cash, even though my Booking.com reservation clearly stated that I could pay by bank card. We did not have that amount of cash with us. I asked if I could pay by credit card. The owner then said that because she did not have a system for processing our card, we would have to pay an additional €30 (234 yuan) “tax.”
For what exactly?
She did not offer to let us pay in the morning. Instead, she simply said that she would not let us into the room during the night unless we paid. We had no choice but to hand over the extra money. Her son, a young boy, was constantly watching what was in our wallets. I consider this behavior completely unacceptable and, frankly, bordering on extortion on the part of the owners.
As for the room itself: yes, it was spacious, and yes, there was a beautiful view from the window. But I did not receive even half of what was stated in the reservation agreement.
As for the food, we only had breakfast. Every day we were served the same noodles, prepared with tap water. We asked for an English breakfast and received two eggs and some bread — that’s all.
The location is another problem. There is practically no transportation available at all. Walking to a shop in the heat is unbearable.

Great spot! Very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Xingping with amazing views, felt very peaceful. Room was very clean, and had all the amenities we needed with lovely furnishings. We had lunch and breakfast and it was some of the best food we ate the whole trip. Free bikes to use was great, easy 20 minute cycle into the town. Easy for the Xianggong sunrise, private transport with short ferry. Loved our stay, would recommend at least two nights to relax and enjoy!

I proprietari sono meravigliosi, disponibili e gentilissimi. Ci hanno aiutato a organizzare il soggiorno e ci hanno suggerito le esperienze migliori. La camera era grande e spaziosa. La pulizia impeccabile.
Unico piccolo difetto forse è che la struttura non è centralissima e occorre un didi oppure noleggiare una bici elettrica per raggiungere il paese e le attrazioni principali ma non so nemmeno se è un difetto perché quello che perdi in distanza lo guadagni in tranquillità
We absolutely loved staying here. It was peaceful and quiet, with stunning views of the river and the karst mountains, and conveniently located near the region's most famous viewpoints.
The hosts kindly picked us up and drove us to the train station, prepared a fresh breakfast every morning, and were always friendly and welcoming. After spending the day exploring the river area, it was a pleasure to return to such a cozy and atmospheric hotel.

Staff super gentile e disponibile! Ci ha aiutato prima di arrivare da lei che nell’andare via.
Aveva inoltre un apparecchio elettronico fantastico che aiutava nella comunicazione traducendo direttamente in lingua.
Il cagnolino ha aggiunto un plus alla struttura.
La posizione è comoda se si vuole stare nella parte più tranquilla.

Petit hotel molt a prop del riu Li, el separa un passeig molt agradable entre els camps, de no mes de 4 minuts… una decoració molt acurada, i un petit jardí amb arbres aromatics..
L’esmorzar molt abundant i deliciós , igual que el sopar que is recomano que el encarregueu a l’hotel

If you enjoy getting away from the busy city, this is the perfect location! It's quiet, accessible (you can always call a Didi, and it arrives in less than five minutes), and situated near the river, where you can explore and take leisurely walks along the riverside.
It was clean but will not return again. Ever. You get a basic room, that’s it. No pool, only two fixed breakfast option. You can rent the bike or electric scooter.
I would rather pay a bit more for Hilton (nearer to town with same views) for better stay and facilities.
Initially thought we got scammed from the AI edited pictures and thought the service could compensate for the ‘reality’. The experience was ultimately ruined by discrimination and lack of sympathy by the owner (male) where we tried to ask for a favour (drop by any nearby shop otw to the station) and he was reluctant to even help and criticised that we eat breakfast and ‘want to eat again’. Context, we had a long trip back and wanted to get some food to avoid inconvenience of our friends who don’t speak Mandarin. A local friend then stepped in to explain our situation further, which he agreed. Then on the car ride to the station, we (other two) thanked him, instead of acknowledging it, he switched language to one of my friends to sarcastically say “you friend is already old, but still called uncle”, whichI immediately confronted that we’re being respectful here (significant age gap to the owner), nothing else. Hearing the audacity of the owner to be this rude (not the first time), I regret staying here. Not worth the price and treatment.
Felt unwelcome.
The owner (male) - rude, lack of respect, lack of sympathy, looks down on non-native Chinese speakers. He only likes you if you speak Cantonese.
The son - helps out but does not smile.
The two ladies- nice, pleasant.
Location - it’s inconvenient, farther into rural areas, not walkable in the heat. Nothing much nearby.
Not suitable for staycation.
Wyjątkowe miejsce prowadzone przez przemiłą i pomocną rodzinę. Przepyszne śniadania, wspaniały widok z okna w pokoju. Pokoje bardzo czyste. Widać, że właścicielom zależy na zadowoleniu gości. Czuliśmy się tam bardzo dobrze. Szczerze polecamy.
