The location, near to public transportation. The room was clean.
The room that I booked was not the same they gave us. When we arrive there was just 1 double bed an 1 bunk bed (this bunk bed was not comfortable). At the end they changed us to another room with 2 double beds by the same price.
Simple, clean, the staff was friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was alright, they served freshly cooked eggs, fruit and juices were good, fresh bread. One day they made pancakes with fig syrup. That was a treat.
The WiFi was quite bad. I had to use my phone data to connect.
The bathroom was clean, but there was nowhere to hang a towel apart from the curtain rod. No soap dish near the sink, nowhere to put your soap or shampoo in the shower. Hot water took about 5-7 minutes to flow, and it flowed unevenly.
The lady on reception seemed to do everything, and she was so helpful- even with our broken Spanish. She let us check in early (after we had a terrible stay at a different place) and the room was definitely a welcome relief. Our stuff felt safe here, the rooms were comfortable and the shower was lovely. The location is good- very near to Plaza Foch and the lavanderia (the lady suggested) on the same street is also very good.
Small points- It would have been lovely if they had a hair dryer they could loan out, we also didn't get told about breakfast- i.e when it was. I think they also could have provided a main access key (attached to the room key) so that you didn't need to ring the bell every time you needed to get back in. This bell was quite loud and was sometimes rung either early in the morning or very late at night.
