I would definitely recommend this facility for someone on the Camino who was looking for basic and convenient needs.
Pros:

This is your basic waypoint with clean basic facilities. It is absolutely a perfect location for those on the Camino de Santiago. The best thing is the restaurant and bar downstairs— good food with a pilgrim menu of the day—although there was no noise whatsoever.

Cons:

The bed linens were a little worn, but very clean.

Cons:

L hotel Alto Paramo à Villadangos del Paramo se situe en bordure de route et proche d une autoroute donc pas du tout au calme.
Les prix pratiqués par cet hôtel sont inadmissibles.
Nous avons payé 1 chambre à 50€, une à 68€, 2 à 90€ et 1 à 95€. Les prix de ces 3 dernières ne sont absolument pas justifiés car ce sont des chambres très simples voire banales sans confort particulier.
Nous pensons que sous prétexte que très peu d hébergements sont proposés à proximité du chemin de Compostelle cet hôtel se permet
de pratiquer n’importe quel tarif.
À cela il a fallu ajouter le prix du dîner et le prix du déjeuner soi-disant à 4€ mais on nous a fait payer un yaourt à 1,50€ en plus. M
Le petit geste commercial de ne faire payer le petit déjeuner à ceux qui ont payé leur chambre très chère n’a pas suffit à apaiser notre mécontentement.
Nous avions logé à León dans un magnifique hôtel et le lendemain également dans un très bel hôtel à Astorga au même prix que celui de l hôtel Alto Paramo. Les chambres étaient grandes, superbes, confortables accompagnée de petites attentions.
Le petit déjeuner, sous forme de buffet, était délicieux et varié.
Je ne recommande absolument pas l hôtel Alto Paramo qui se fiche éperdument des clients.
Passez votre chemin.

Camere arredate risalenti agli anni ‘70, purtroppo per il cammino di Santiago abbiamo dovuto pernottare da loro perché era l’unica struttura aperta a gennaio.
Non c’era riscaldamento, se non un scaldino da bagno ( tutto usurato a rischio incendio) che però in bagno non poteva essere attaccato perché le prese erano troppo vecchie.
Termosifoni in ghisa presenti, ma ovviamente spenti.
Dentro la camera ci saranno stati 3º, con i -2º esterni.
Si sentivano tutta la notte le macchine ed i Tir che viaggiavano sulla statale 120.
Terrificante.

Hostal Alto Páramo – Stay from December 8–9

I stayed at Hostal Alto Páramo for one night, and overall the experience was satisfactory. The room was clean and adequate for a short stay, and the check-in process was straightforward.

One important detail to keep in mind is the location.

A decent option for a simple overnight stop, especially if proximity to town is not a priority.

Cons:

The hostal is quite far from the town center, which can be inconvenient if you’re hoping to explore Villadangos del Paramo or Astorga, or access restaurants and services without driving. Because of this, it’s better suited for travelers passing through or those who don’t mind the distance.

La ubicación

Cons:

No olía bien en la habitación. La calefacción apenas daba calor, se estaba mejor en el pasillo. Y papel higiénico, un rollo pequeño y con eso pasan cuatro personas.
