We do not accept Group Bookings.

Reasonably comfortable stay in a welcoming atmosphere.
Pros:

Good location, convenient for shops and public transport. Quiet, despite main road location. Staff were cheerful and helpful. Room was reasonably comfortable and bathroom was clean. Good shower and the option of taking a bath. Bed was reasonably comfortable and the room was warm. Enough power sockets for charging phones, etc, and for other uses. Plenty wardrobe space and drawers for unpacking for a short stay.

Cons:

The tea/coffee tray was inside the wardrobe, not the best location, and wasn't well stocked. No drinking water in room (we don't trust the tap water for drinking). Lack of fresh fruit at breakfast. Porridge could have been creamier (made with water probably, would have benefited from being made with milk). No lift, so heavy luggage has to be carried to 2nd floor (to be fair, the hotel offered to help but I'm uncomfortable with all that tipping malarkey). Some of the food on dinner menu was too rich, and no option of smaller portions.

Pros:

Location was excellent for our holiday. Just a short 5-10 minute drive to anything around the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful for any questions we had.
Room was very quiet at night

Only thing I didn’t like was that there’s no lift. It was a struggle going up/down the stairs to 2nd floor due to my husband and I having knee problems. This would not stop us from staying again 😀
