Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the location was great and breakfast was delicious.
It was great!
Pre-order breakfast. Good location. Comfortable bed. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Clean and tastefully decorated.
The staff were amazing and felt like a home from home. As soon as we arrived, they was so welcoming. The breakfast was really good. Our room was clean and to a good spec.
Nothing
Staff - super friendly & helpful, very clean, pleasant lounge and bar area, reserved parking space at a small charge was a big plus for us. Hot breakfast cooked to pre-order which was always hot and and of good quality An excellent location for both town and beach/marina, all just a few minutes walk away.
No self serve continental option, everything was pre-ordered, including fruit, fruit juice. Whilst we totally see the benefits of
pre-ordering hot food, in our opinion, cereal, pastries, yogurt & fruit should be self service, to allow more choice and less handling of food by members of staff. One big let down for us was the dated bathroom, which was looking very tired, the shower was very old and actually broke down when I was having a shower, meaning we had to use the shower facilities in a neighbouring, vacant bedroom. Whilst the room was modern, spacious we’ll decorated and comfortable, the bathroom was lagging behind. However, the staff dealt with the issue and quick organised use of the alternative facilities.
Also, unfortunately our sleep was disrupted at 4am with a fire alarm going off for about 10 minutes before being deactivated.
All started well. Checking in was friendly, smiley and helpful. The hotel and our room was clean, fresh, warm and had everything we needed. The shower was functional. The bar was well stocked.
Our bedroom (room 1) was noisy - during the night we could hear almost everything from the adjacent room toilet (which was effectively a rectangular box built into our room) from light switching on to flushing. Clearly this had minimal sound proofing at best. Unfortunately the guest staying in the next room had to use the toilet four times during the night, and each time we were woken.
The fire alarm went off at 5.30 am for no reason. I spoke to a member of staff when this happened, but no apology or explanation for this was made at any time.
We got a really appalling nights sleep and this should be the first consideration for guests.
Breakfast was basic at best, no atmosphere, cereals presented to us in a bowl so no chance of portion control, one slice of toast each, cooked breakfast adequate, no self-service of anything - a bit like being at school.
Friendly staff good location.
Location. Breakfast was good and staff were pleasant as well as helpful.
A bit noisy at times.
Everything…apart from..listed below.
A few more hangers would have been useful. Nowhere to put lotions and potions, toothbrush, paste etc. no where to put towels after shower.
The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area but with easy access to the town and beach. Lovely big airy room. Staff were very friendly and even offered to do some laundry for us!
I much prefer a breakfast buffet and would prefer not to have to decide the day before what I want. That said breakfast was freshly cooked for us.
The fact we had a parking space on site that was a must & we would recommend requesting when you book.
The water in the shower was very warm.
Location of the hotel is fantastic just 10-15mins walk to the bars & restaurants.
Staff all very helpful & friendly.
Didn't drink in bar but it was a nice addition knowing it was there.
Breakfast was generous & cooked well.
We didn't like having to order breakfast the night before, as you don't know what you will feel like eating in the morning.
Would of liked more hanging space mabe a wardrobe.
Shower was under pressure & mounted on the wrong wall for the cubicle as you don't get the spray on the length only the width of the cubicle.
Seems a bit of a waste of a generously sized cubicle.
Cushions on the bed look pretty but where do you put them when not on the bed & they took up so much bedroom space.
Also seemed strange having what seemed like a dressing table in the bathroom, where you cannot plug electrics in to dry or straighten your hair etc.
It was clean, warm, comfortable, with comfortable beds for
and in a great location with easy access to both the sea front and town. Staff were friendly.
The room and bathroom were both very small and up two exceedingly long and steep flights of stairs. The nature of Victorian villa's.
Breakfasts were plentiful but basic and not using the best quality products. E.g. pain au Chocolat in individual plastic packets.
Everythingwas perfect
