Clean, well decorated, very friendly staff, quiet & relaxing
Wow is all I can say absolutely stunning place
Nothing not to like
Breakfast was good but expensive for what it was.
Service was slow, one of the staff was very efficient but we had to wait to get service, they didn’t come out and check on us often enough.
poor
as there was limited hotel rooms, it surely would of been easy to at least give us some option of food , instead of being told we couldn't order from the restaurant or even the bar, so we had to walk into the village and find dinner .
shame as the actual hotel and room was very nice as for 4 in the bed, winners maybe invest in feeding your guests better
Everything! It was exceptional.
There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this wonderful place
A lovely hotel with great food and great staff
It was alright
Very small bed
Good airy room and lounge
Couldn’t stand up in the shower due to sloping roof.
Road noise really bad.
Worst coffee ever tasted.
Our check in was 3pm and was then told that the restaurant closes at 4.
We had nibbles on the terrace which was a lovely setting but the sharing platter had one of everything and was very small. We then went for a walk in the beautiful grounds, went back to our lovely room which was decorated perfectly. We got dressed to go down to the bar at 7pm to find not a single soul was there - everything was shut, both bars, no staff were around and we couldn’t even get a bottle of water on one of the hottest days of the year. So we went to the local pub which was open until 8pm. So by 8pm we had no other choice but to retire back to our room, with no possibility of food or drink. The next morning we went to the restaurant for our pre paid breakfast. Again, not one single person and definitely no breakfast. We later found out that the pot of porridge and two child size cartons of orange in our room was in fact, our paid for breakfast! Now back in the room and no choice but to leave given the fact we were starving, thirsty and pretty annoyed, we decided to shower first, only to find there was no water. Completely broken! Tried calling the reservation line and it wasn’t answered. I did get a call back eventually which was approx 1pm - and the response was - it’s reflected in the price! Shocking! Absolutely shocking considering how beautiful the place is. It would seem that they mention it being open on Mondays or Tuesdays on the website, which I didn’t notice as I do not really expect a hotel, as paying guests, not to have anything open during my stay. The lady who finally called back was asked what would have happened if there was a health and safety issue and she said that there was a night porter - however I knocked every locked room and circled the hotel several times and did not find one person to help. So this was a complete lie. As pretty as this hotel is, I would never stay again. Not the bank holiday night away I was expecting. Bitterly disappointed. Not good enough
The service, the facilities , no water
Lovely room very clean, staff welcoming and helpful. Nice touches with possecco and fresh milk in the room.
Nothing.
Breakfast was amazing especially being a vegetarian. Service was exceptional.
More vegetarian options for dinner.
It had a very relaxed homely feel… lots of areas to chill out, like in the old panelled lounge bar, on the veranda or on the deck down by the river. Lively bar at night.
Breakfast service could do with being a bit quicker, albeit the full English when it arrived was top notch.
