Wide range of breakfast. All exceptional nicely. Served with a smile and polite.
Nothing, everything worked for what we needed.
Location and ample parking
The communal areas like the stairs were very dirty
Beautiful place, lovely lay out for dining room, bar area and the rooms are fantastic
Clean, well located and relaxed. Staff were all fantastic, really good group
Location for our purpose was excellent. First impressions was oh old property. However step inside and it is really nice. The staff are amazing, so helpful and friendly and seemed genuinely happy people. The bar is a nice area with some old yet comfy sofas. The restaurant is lovely and the menu varied enough for almost anyone. Service for dinner was great and the food was excellent. I had the standard fish and chips and it was the best. My wife had the Han egg and chips and was happy with it. Bedrooms were fine so no complaints. Car parking is great. Repeat the staff on duty are first class.
I can only comment on my experience and breakfast was a let down compared to dinner. I ordered only bacon-sausage and egg with brown toast and butter. First query was is this butter and told they hard runout of the “normal” butter and were serving this which looked and tasted like an imitation spread. It was yuk. Sausages undercooked by a mile and eggs swimming in something unknown. You had to make your own tea and or coffee which is not good for the price charged.
Very clean & comfortable room Staff very helpful & enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast.
Little bit in disparity of price paid having spoken to other guests. Breakfast choice is limited as in no yogurts and fruits if that is what you like.
It was close to Sywell Aerodrome in a quiet location with plenty of parking
The room was dusty, the hotel felt quite run down and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned to a good standard. There was noticeable limescale and grime around the bath and sink taps and the shower curtain had an unpleasant smell.
Breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly
It's not a dislike, more of a suggestion. The weekend we stayed is the same weekend as a large walking event in nearby Wellingborough. There is barely anywhere to stay in Wellingborough, which is why we stayed here. For this weekend, it may be worth starting breakfast earlier/allowing pre-orders? We thought it was an excellent stay so will be staying there next year and recommending it to other walkers.
We stay here every year and it just cannot be faulted it's perfect for what we need, the staff are so friendly it's located perfectly we cannot recommend it enough
They accept blue light holders which means we got 2 for one on meals and they were nice 🙂
The staff were helpful and the area was quite enough
Would stay again
The blinds in our room didn't black out the room and with an early rising spring sun it was a little difficult for extra sleep time
Wafer thin walls could hear conversations from others also from ealy
Beautiful area, lovely staff and a comfortable room and for me the biggest yay is it has a bath and a shower
On this one Occassion as i have stayed numerous times was a couple fighting in the car park. But just to say this is a rare occurrence
Good value for room including breakfast .
Excellent breakfast ( non buffet).
Ate there in the evening and food was very good.
No curtains in bedroom , only venetian blinds which made it difficult to open the window and allowed more light in. Therefore woken early as too much light in the room.
Excellent breakfast let down by having no marmalade !
