Bar, lounge, restaurant. Faciliyies in hotel.
No lift. A little pricy for what it was.
Excellent food and surrounding environment, great stay if you have dogs !
Hotel facilities were good - restaurant is always good and breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Room was nice but could have been bigger given it was a Deluxe room apparently although the bathroom was superb
The fridge in the room wasn't cold and refused to chill anything despite various settings being tried.
The water in the shower/bath was luke warm at best - at no point was it "hot" - disappointing
The cold water tap in the bathroom produce luke warm not cold water
The room was originally set to a Saharan temperature upon arrival - it took a while for the AC being used to cool the room down.
The AC remote was attached to the wall using a Philips screw hammered into the wall! Not very professional at all.
The cost of the room didnt match the reality - I would suggest strongly that this was overpriced for what was provided, but I think the Milsom's group tend to charge a bit more that their competitors in the area due to reputation alone - not quality. Whilst the venue is nice and the rooms good, they are not in my opinion good value unfortunately. I have been staying at Milsom's venues for the last 20 years and their quality has degraded quite significantly I would suggest.
Would I stay there and recommend it again? Not 100% sure to be honest.
Beautiful setting, lovely well kept grounds.
Bedding too heavy, bar and restaurant very austere, not welcoming. Restaurant a bit like a canteen. No water in room.
The hotel staff were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
All the facilities were new, clean and welcoming
Comfiest beds, lovely staff, amazing food.
Nothing.
The evening meal was excellent. The grounds surrounding the hotel were fabulous for dog walking.
Booked as said it was dog friendly. When I arrived we weren't in a dog friendly room. They could have upgraded us for free but wanted a £35 dog extra charge. I thought this was excessive for a dog that would have been in his cage while in the room. He came in with us to have dinner and then stayed in the car instead.
The location was quiet and relaxing, the breakfast was very good, the room was warm and inviting
There was nothing not like,
Staff were great throughout the whole stay. Very attentive and efficient. Room was comfy, well laid out, quiet and very clean. Food (Dinner and Breakfast) was 8/10. Would defintately consider staying here again.
The spa facilities are separate from the main building and an extra cost. We expected access to sauna and hot tub to be included which was not immidiately clear from booking. The sauna was also malfunctioning, but the staff tried to sort that, but was the end of the day. There was subsequently no charge.
