Stay in Llandudno frequently and this hotel was nice even though it weren’t my first choice. Try to stay in our usual hotel. We were surprised when we arrived has the lovely lady on the reception had upgraded us to a family room at no extra cost. This was down to a late long stay booking after us. We were happy with the room has it was nice & big & clean. The breakfast was nice, cereals waffles pancakes etc. Hubs liked the cooked breakfast. Staff were very friendly and because it was a very hot day the milk had turned. They quickly changed it without fuss.
The only thing that let it down for me was it had no cappuccino maker at breakfast time. That’s just personal preference. There is a few bar’s facing but they quite down by 11-12.
First time there and this hotel's location was perfect! Near the beach, the tram that takes you to the mountain summit and the mine its 2mins walk and you have so many restaurants and shops nearby. All the staff members were friendly and they had good options for breakfast. (If there was a hot chocolate would be nice)
The room we were given was probably the standard room we had booked, and I understand it was likely one of the more affordable options. However, it felt quite dated especially the bathroom which is something that I consider a lot when booking a place. There were no photos of the bathroom on the Booking listing and if there had been, I would have chosen to upgrade to a different room.
The furniture was very old, which I did not mind in itself, but it was quite dusty. I appreciate that this is a two-star hotel and that we only booked it as a place to sleep, but some renovation and better maintenance would significantly improve the overall experience, bit just for the rooms but generally the whole property. In addition, one of the towels was not completely clean, the bed was not very comfortable and overall the room did not meet my expectations.
