Did the job
Pros:

Was cheap so didn't expect much but was clean

No heating except for portable radiator which was ineffective. Main radiator stone cold

Beware But Good Value
Pros:

The nice bed and bathroom.

Cons:

The hostile atmosphere I had to sign into the hotel. I had to sit in a very noisy bar with drunk people shouting and staring at me. Only one person was at the bar dealing with everything. No food was on offer. I had to refill my details on a form when all my details should've been there already. The music was booming into my room for some hours. There were no towels or floor mats in the bathroom. I had a good nights sleep after all the noise died down but it was a very stressful stay. The beds had black bits on the sheets, which put me off. There were no carpets in my room, just a vinyl floor, which was unusual.

Over all lovely stay apart from the pub sign creaking in the wind all night
Pros:

I was travelling on my own and I was made to feel welcome in the pub when I arrived and had a few drinks I was given a big family room ideal location for were I wanted to me

Cons:

The pub sign was right out side of the window and because it was windy it was creaking all night so I didn’t get much sleep but apart from that fantastic location spotlessly clean

Overall great stay & affordable
Pros:

Staff at the pub underneath were lovely, very hospitable. We were flying to the airport and it was great location, under £10 in a taxi to the airport from location. Very reasonable price compared to others in the area near the airport.

Cons:

Only problem is it doesn’t come with breakfast (however our flights were early morning anyways). Also we were informed that the pub had a karaoke night the day we showed up, cannot fault the staff for letting us know that the karaoke didn’t stop till 11pm.

Pros:

Quiet location, close enough to the airport and Liverpool for easy access, with stores nearby, but away from city and airport noise. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. The bar downstairs was quiet, cheap, and friendly. This is not the Ritz-Carlton; it is a neighbourhood pub with rooms above. And for all of that, it is excellent value.
