The garden was a good send since it was so hot on the May Whitsun holiday. My dog had shade and we had somewhere to sit around while we waited for our evening walks. The parking was good

The mattress needs changing. due to the position people sleep in on the bed (2 people) the dents in the mattress was very noticeable
Nice room with a lovely view over the gardens. Shower room small but did the job. It would have been lovely to have a drink in the garden but, unfortunately, it was raining.
Dinner was tasty and reasonably priced. Bar service was friendly.
Breakfast options were a bit limited but it was well cooked so not really an issue

It had been a very hot day. We arrived early evening and the room was unbearably hot! I thought they could have at least opened the windows to get some air circulating! There was 1 fan which gave us a little bit of air but we had to fight over that as there were 4 of us in the room and it was static so you had to be right in front of it to get any benefit so we didn’t sleep too well ☹️

The twin room was quite small but okay for a one night stop over.
Beautiful country house hotel set in well cared for grounds.. excellent friendly professional staff... Excellent cooked breakfast with premium ingredients..laid back relaxing atmosphere ..our second visit here and we shall no doubt return!

Lovely place to stay. Perfect location. Food was great in the restaurant. Breakfast was great. All the staff were lovely.
Our room (room 5) had the radiator on in the bathroom. Which is usually a good thing with our british weather. But when its a heat wave and 30+ degree heat outside, having a radiator that was on for the 3 days/2 nights where stayed, it was so uncomfortable and we found it so difficult to sleep.
The manager came and looked at the raidiator one 1st day and said he would look into it. I spoke to staff again the 2nd day and still got no answers or it being resolved. On checking out I mentioned it yet again and was told sorry she didn't know we experienced that.
I know the heat wave wasn't their fault but a broken radiator being on full is. Im sure this could have been better dealt with making our stay exceptional. It was lovely other than that though, so its really let it down.
