Breafast and Dinners were excellent, nice choice well cooked, never felt the need to eat elsewhere.
The Staff friendly and very helpful - really excellent service.
The meals were excellent the best we have had in a long time. Fantastic chips and a very good quality breakfast. Staff were attentive, thank you to Wen serving us our breakfast and the young man who served us our evening meal. There was a lovely garden view from our window and beds were comfortable. The location was ideal for us and it was quite quiet.
There were a few minor issues in the room which I did mention. Also I burnt my arm on the towel rail next to the WC so needed to put a towel over it and burnt my wrist on the shower dial. The shampoo ect had to be put on the floor of the shower and I can't bend down, so that's really awkward for me. It seemed a handyman was installing something in the bathrooms so hopefully it is a shower caddy. The room was a bit tired and in need of some updates. Could have done with some curtains and was desperately hot. But the windows opened up and we left them wide open all night.
Very nice staff. Lovely location. Pleasant room. Great breakfast. Peaceful most of the time which is what we wanted.
The TV was a bit small and very old fashioned. Would be good to update. The next door bar was quite noisy. There was a football game on TV and maybe a party. However we slept OK and had a pleasant quiet evening meal in the restaurant.
Staff were amazing. So helpful, friendly, service was 10/10, food was excellent. Location is fantastic. We had a great weekend away. 3 old geezers on bikes, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back 👍
Nothing to dislike, everything and everyone was great.
Bed so comfy, breakfast abundant and very tasty, evening meal choice and quality excellent.
Staff so friendly and welcoming , special mention to the young boy who was helping on Wednesday..a credit to his family and himself..
Just a loose toilet seat. Must be the bane of hoteliers…nowhere does one seem to be secure!
Oh no USB port for iPhone.
The breakfast and location were very good and up to expectation..
Great location
The young man that served us looked after us so well and was lovely.

Nothing
Location. Ambience.
Nothing. All good.
We enjoyed a long weekend break here with our two young daughters. Steve and Wyn were really nice and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing as other reviews suggest. Close to Shell Island, Nantcol waterfall and Children’s Farm Park, which was a hit with our daughters. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Ty Mawr hotel.
I really don’t like to complain, but think there is a room for improvement here. Our room (no 5) was spacious, but the build in wardrobe was partly covered in mold and cob webs at the back so we could not store anything there, however there was a chest of drawers which was big enough.
It would be great if there was a wall coat hanger behind the door and we could sit anywhere in the breakfast room rather than being moved due to the number of tables being set up for exact number of guests (it seemed) or set up for dinner later on.
We gave been coming for years, lovey place,
Friendly staff.amazing food.
