Enjoyed as usual it’s situated in my home town
Pros:

Comfortable relaxing lovely staff

Cons:

Paying £15 extra for breakfast when all I wanted was cereal toast and tea
No meals after 7.30pm at beginning of week

Stop off picked at random was a nice surprise for the location and White Lion!
Pros:

Nice old building in historic town. Picked location at random and was pleasantly surprised at quaint little town on the river. Lovely old building. Rooms look recently refurbished. Staff lovely. Nice food though make sure you eat earlier as the stop serving at 7.

Cons:

Little bit of street noise of an evening but died down as the evening passed. Our room was rather warm due to south facing sun, though a fan was supplied!

Very welcoming and an very enjoyable stay.
Pros:

Very good choice of menu both for the evening meal and breakfast, and all meals were delicious.
The room was very nice, good en suite facilities, and ample tea/coffee making provisions.

Cons:

Meals over generous for our digestive systems. The offer of slightly smaller portions would be ideal for us.

Great location, super comfy bed, best breakfast ever!

Probably the best English breakfast we’ve had in along time if not ever!

Awful, awful,awful. Needs desperate help from the hotel inspector.

Cons:

Dirty carpets, mattress spring broken, ragged curtains, peeling wallpaper, dripping tap, old tatty furniture, shower not working properly, property in disrepair. No air con. No proper hanging facilities other than a grotty wardrobe.

Comfortable, lovely building

Was a beautiful building with quirky rooms

Cons:

Room was very hot! Over the front door lots of road noise day and night, we booked as it was listed as a good location for fishing on the river but as we later found out unless your in an angling club or had a BAA licence you couldn’t fish anywhere close, we ended up paying to fish at Drake’s Place which is the only place you can fish on the river freely with just a rod license, was beautiful and in the grounds of a gorgeous house was a very expensive trip to not be able to walk the Severn and fish
Also nowhere was open Monday for food apparently that’s normal in the area

Disappointing!
Pros:

Hugely disappointed and will not return. A family member and myself went to The White Lion for lunch. We found a table and waited to be served, nobody acknowledged our arrival and after over 5 minutes, I went to the bar to fetch some menus. We made our choices and I went up to the bar to order. The bar tender was miserable, sounded grumpy as if everything was too much trouble and made no effort to be friendly and accommodating. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. In this line of business it’s all about customer service….and some and boy, this place lacked it in many ways. Will not be returning.

I loved it was right in the middle of town. On site parking. Easy to find.. booking in easy and leaving easy.

Cons:

Lovely old hotel, our room was a little on the small size. You couldn't sit on the toilet as it was very close to the wall. Being on the high street there is a lot of noise, from heavy traffic. We didn't appreciate either the window cleaner shutting our window to clean at 7.50 in the morning.

Superb hotel in a fabulous location
Pros:

We stayed at the white lion and attended the Welland steam fair. The location was ideal. A short drive or taxi ride to and from the fair. On arrival we were greeted by staff who could not have been more pleasant. I have coeliac disease and the menu was adapted for me without any fuss or issues. The room was comfortable and the en-suite was clean along with the room. The free parking was good at the rear of the property. Will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone
