Great Value and good location
Pros:

A nice feel hotel. Breakfast was a good inclusion, well worth the extra cost.

Cons:

It's a bit hot in the rooms. An overhead fan would be good. The summers are getting hotter.

The Shanklin Hotel exceeded my expectations with regard to my room, meals and hotel facilities.
Pros:

Very pleasant room, looked recently refurbished. Good quality bed, modern bathroom. Had a very good three-course dinner for £20. Friendly, efficient staff. Hotel is close to the cliff-top path and the lift to the beach. Town centre five minutes walk. I shall certainly return.

Cons:

Although the room was generally quiet, I was woken in the early hours by television noise from another room.

Transport used was Motorcycle (not an option in the answers).
Pros:

Breakfast good value. Booked because of the pool. Also stayed some years ago on an Alfa tour.

Overall good stay considering the very affordable price, would recommend to any budget travellers.

Room had all the expected amenities
Walking distance from the beach and the high street
Nice bar with social activities if required

Cons:

No aircon, visited during Summer and room felt very hot
The pool and changing area were a little dirty
Interior decor of the room felt a bit tired

We thought we had landed in an old peoples home

Staff were efficient

Cons:

Breakfast not good at all - big disappointment.
Not quality ingredients. Egg insipid and tastless. Hashbrown bland and mushrooms shrivelled

The area

I had the room in this picture needs a bit of renovation also person above was so noisy loud in room df ont know what was happening and started again 6 am also people going home congregated gradually from 6.45 am in the front of building chatting smoking till breakfast as I df if not get hardly any Sleep. Also small TV channels many were distorted. Told reception they just said sorry won't be booking here again
