Nothing springs to mind
What a lovely hotel this was, right next to the falls. We were early and was aloud to check in 1 hour before.
Lovely pub.
Breakfast was amazing so much food and drink to choose from and a lovely setting sat looking out at the garden. All staff was lovely.
Our room was in the annex it was ok, very bad smell as we entered think it was the drains so not the best first impression but the room was nice, small but ok for 2. Bed was very hard (glad we only booked 1 night) and there was like a drip or a knock that we could hear all night.
Walking the Herriot way and could pay a fee to leave my car.
Nothing
Hotel was beautiful & staff were excellent, we didn't book evening meal but manager accommodated us as it was very busy & food was exceptionally good,
Couldn't not l8ke anything it was great
Fantastic breakfast - compliments to the chef(s) - the best thing about the stay. The restaurant and bar were lovely. And the staff were great. The garden is beautiful, and the nearby falls are stunning.
The cottage room needs updating, and it was not spotlessly clean. Found dogs hairs on the blanket which was on top of the bed. It would be better to have 1-2 rooms that are dog free. Had some issues with the parking.
The hotel and pub have a quaint look with some nice modern upgrades. Service was friendly and attentive. They did have Netflix available to stream on their TV…which is nice. Their dinner was great. They clearly have a very talented chef.
Rooms on the top floor are a few flights up via stairs so if mobility is an issue, check before you book. Temperature is maintained via open windows and radiators (not uncommon, I know). Roadside rooms (on the front of the hotel) can be loud if you have open the window to cool the room off.
Really lovely room, spacious and comfortable, nice modern bathroom, and great outside space with seating, giving lovely views. Food was nice for evening meal and good selection at breakfast. 2 minute walk to the falls.
The room was really hot despite turning the heating as low as we could get it.
Beautiful rooms lovely bar and restaurant

The under floor heating in the ensuite is a very nice touch, along with the modern refurbishment very nice building,
Friendly professional staff Holy was ace,
We loved our stay! We had a dog friendly room in the cottages. The private, fenced yard had a beautiful view. The room was modern and clean. We were given fresh milk for our drinks, which was a nice touch over the teeny cartons in other places.
Our dog was allowed with us whilst we dined in the bar area. All the staff were wonderful. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious.
We had a beautiful breakfast too, again the staff were able to accommodate us with the dog, (separate to the main dining area), which was great for us.
The only ever so slight criticism was that the outdoor furniture was a little dirty, however, we were there in February, we weren't exactly going to sit outside. I expect these are cleaned down ready for warmer weather.
