Wonderful escape from the city
Pros:

The breakfast was superb and we enjoyed the restaurant meals. The location was wonderful, easy to walk from the front door. The staff were friendly and helpful. The residents' kitchen is a lovely touch, with fresh milk fruit and biscuits available, and a fridge for your own food. The open fire was cosy, as it was very cold while we were there.

Cons:

The stairs to the top floor were steep and the view was of the nighbouring building, with a sliver of the garden visible.

Pros:

On route back to Manchester from Cornwall . Bear walks.

Cons:

Comfort of bed was poor. Paid top $ expecting comfortable bed ... saggy mattress ... no excuse for$400 AU .
Breakfast was generally good but no fresh fruit and "homemade " muesli tasted like packet muesli .

Pros:

Breakfast was OK. Service good. The evening meal was excellent and, thewine lovely.

Cons:

The restaurant dining tables, and lighting looked a little drab.Couldhave been more softer. Perhaps a couple of standard lamps etc. Maybe the tables more rounded?
