Beautiful gardens, spacious room and bathroom. A lovely setting and very close to where we needed to visit.
For the price we paid we would’ve expected air conditioning in the room. A fan was provided but it wasn’t up to much. Breakfast was very expensive.
the building and grounds are lovely. the shower is nice and powerful.
the room was roasting and they don;t have any AC. the bed is really short. i'm 5'11" and my feet were overhanging the bed.
the breakfast is £25 if its not part of your booking, needless to say i didnlt book it.
Superschönes Anwesen sufxdem Land, Personal megafreundlixh 👍
Keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer
Lovely hotel and room. Beautiful gardens.
The dining experience was not exceptional. Slow service and a poor menu.
Lovely grounds
Breakfast not great and room pretty small
The grounds were lovely, picturesque scenery, very quiet
The breakfast was not worth the £22pp. Very limited selection. Price of the room was expensive for what you get. No air con, and fan wasn’t great.
Hotel is in the very beautiful location, room was nice clean and comfortable.
We chose this hotel as the first stop on our European motorbike trip because it looked peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We wanted to relax and unwind after a long journey, and that was one of the main reasons for booking.
Before our stay, I contacted the hotel to ask if there would be a safe place to park our motorbike overnight. I received a reassuring reply confirming this would not be a problem, so we arrived expecting everything to be arranged.
Unfortunately, on arrival after a long and tiring ride, our confirmed special request had not been accommodated. We were initially given a room where we couldn't keep an eye on our motorbike, even though this had been our main concern from the start. It resulted in unnecessary stress and extra time spent discussing the issue and moving to another room when all we wanted to do was rest.
I had also recently had a PRP injection for my tennis elbow, so after a full day of travelling I was really looking forward to a peaceful evening. At one point, we were seriously considering leaving and finding another place to stay.
Thankfully, the receptionist listened to our concerns and eventually found us a different room where we could see our motorbike from the window. The new room was actually much nicer than the first one, and we really appreciated her efforts to resolve the situation.
The hotel itself is in a lovely, peaceful location with beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately, because so much time was spent sorting out the room issue, we didn't get to enjoy the tranquillity we had come for. The bed was very comfortable, and once everything was resolved, we finally managed to relax.
Overall, this could have been an excellent stay. The hotel has a lot to offer, but it was disappointing that our confirmed special request wasn't prepared before our arrival. A little more attention to guests' requests would have made our first night of our European adventure exactly as we had hoped.
Everything. It was a fantastic place to stay. We were attending a festival at Knebworth Hall and it was a 20 minute journey to the venue.
The staff were professional, friendly and delivered first class service. Without exception, the staff were amazing.
The room was great, located in the courtyard, breakfast was plentiful.
It was just a very relaxing, calm and special place to stay. The gardens are outstanding.
Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat! Au Revoir ...

Very nice and fancy, lovely gardens to walk around and explore and the reception is very nice too.
Expensive foods and drinks, and also I accidentally lost the tag for the keys for my room, and dispite them having spares I was fined a very heavy amount of money over a small piece of wood I could have easily made for them. I felt ripped off and wasn't happy paying so much money for such a small item. Also the room I was staying in is stupidly hot due to the lack of air-conditioning during this heatwave. Had to rely on a fan to keep me cool at night.
It's a lovely building in a lovely area, the grounds are picture perfect and it's worth a good wander around even if your stay is only brief. The parking is plentiful and the staff were excellent and helpful, even offering to book me a taxi for my trip to Knebworth House. The room was spotless all around but really needed an in-room fridge. I didn't have breakfast but the cooked buffet certainly looked very tasty!
My stay was in the middle of July heatwave. The room was very warm and the tower fan supplied was struggling to keep the temperature down. I mentioned this at checkout and the staff's reaction indicated it was a known issue; another guest I met had the same problem. Not the end of the world but disappointing given the price of the room.
