Very nice room #6 at front of Hotel with views overlooking whole high-street. Good sound proofing. Lovely shower room. Free Parking for Hotel patrons. Free Wifi and good TV system.
Breakfast was not included which is a shame for the room price but I this is offset by the central location which is the premium you pay and Costa is just across the road!

Toilet seat was not secure no bottles of water no breakfast
Bed very lumpy
Only 2 bed side light not any other lights
And the shower was electric no power
And no shelf in shower for toiletries shower not big enough to keep bending down
Shower was poor
It was super easy to check in and out and the staff were helpful and polite.
Couple of small suggestions to improve our stay: 1) put something under the legs of the bed to ensure it is level as the head end is lower than foot end due to slope of floor. 2) include a USB charging plug in the room 3) the sink was so small it was a hand basin so quite hard to clean teeth!
There was no breakfast facility.
The bathroom sink overflow was black. The bed was awful. We appreciated the property was old and the bedroom floor slopped but the bed slopped backwards and was also tilted. We had to sleep the wrong way round as the feeling of being correctly gave us both an headache. We told a member of staff but nothing done. Keith put a book and a pie e of wood on the worse corner but it made no difference.
Location and friendly staff
No fan in the room as room was exceptionally hot, bathroom door handle hanging off
Warm welcome and the bar manager so helpful - he very kindly took supper order by phone en route as real risk of arriving a little late, after kitchen had closed.
Very nice pub and one of the very best beefburgers l have ever tasted! Wonderful meat cooked to perfection- it was exceptional.
I hope to return.

Room was a little noisy being above the bar - but the talking stopped immedistely the bar closed - at a reasonsble hour.
