Lovely room comfy beds
Room well stocked with tea and coffee faciliies excellent ensuite and good desk and chair with mirror plus another table and chair
Well furnished and comfortable bed
Plenty of room
Well thought out
Very helpful welcoming staff
Could work soap dispensers and possibly a fan a good idea
Great Vibe, service, decor and access to airfield for flying!
Breakfast was buffet style, however Kate arranged for something off the 'al a carte' for the second day. She was superb. Thanks to the Chef for that.
Dinner on the first night was lovely.
The room had air conditioning which we didn't expect. Clean and comforatable. Excellent.
The hotel was in an art deco style of the 40's which was apt as it was an RAF training based for pilots during the second world war and to have a spitfire flying overhead what more could you ask
Well recommended
Beautiful building, clean rooms great location for Sywell/ aerodrome
No air conditioning, no fridge in room- no fans - rooms in summer too warm
We have stayed here before. A good option when we are in Northampton for family occasions. We were slightly late checking in - over-running birthday lunch! - but the member of staff on duty was very friendly and helpful. We knew there was no food on offer at that time on a Sunday so had brought a bit of a picnic, and the same member of staff helped with plates and cutlery. Very impressed with the level of customer service. The location at Sywell Aerodrome is also lovely, with the Art Deco vibe, and we had the added bonus of seeing a Spitfire in flight.
A hot water jug to make tea at breakfast. NO! You need properly boiling water to make tea. Also my pet peeve of tea bags and small cups. NO! Either give me a mug or a teapot
Art Deco, overlooking an aerodrome where you will often see Spitfires and other vintage aircraft taking off and landing. Easy parking, comfortable lounge, good bar, great staff.
Nothing.
Handy for our activity the following but still a great location. Love the art deco theme. Great staff and a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
It had everything in the room for what we needed for an overnight stay.
It's original art deco. Feel as tho Poirot & Hastings are going to appear at any moment.
Staff were all exceptional (Nadine gets special mention). Right next to the airfield so always something to see. I had the best steak salad ever!
My room was big with proper windows that open all the way. A great shower and very comfy bed.
Couldn't fault this hotel at all
I only stayed one night and would like to stay longer
Great location to fly into.
Didnt have breakfast
All good
I loved the location and 1930’s style of the hotel. The bar staff were friendly.
They don’t accept Apple Pay at check in.
Comfortable bed, good shower, stylish place.
The place has no atmosphere. Good average, could do so much with the place, but it's just cold. Wouldn't return unfortunately
Quirky
Water dripping in the cistern all night. Breakfast only available from 7. Smell of weed in the lobby to the rooms. Taking £100 deposit whuch I still have not got back 24 hours later
The art deco design of the Aviator is great - from the building itself to all the design touches inside. The beds were really comfy and we were situated at the end of the ground floor corridor which was very quiet. The room was a twin and very spacious. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good and reasonably priced. It was a shame the weather wasn't better as there is a lovely garden and patio with lots of tables from where you can see the airfield.
The bathroom was a bit outdated but was very clean. The toilet seat wouldn't stay put which is always a pain in the *! A couple of comfy chairs would have been nice in the room as there was certainly the room for it.
Beautiful atmospheric art deco building and rooms.
Lovely evening meal very comfortable clean room.
Large room
Think it was instant coffee at breakfast
Poached egg was over cooked
