Cons:

Room was really basic and dated. Did not feel comfortable. I didn’t sleep there, went to another hotel and paid again for my 3 night stay.

Good hotel, disappointing security deposit shock.
Pros:

It was in the Art Deco style and very well looked after

Cons:

Although I was only staying for one night, which had already been paid in advance, I had to pay a £100 security deposit which I was not made aware of prior to my stay. I left the hotel this morning but I still haven’t had my deposit returned and was told it may take 2-3 days to have it returned. This did cause me a cash flow problem as I was there for a special event with my sister. Definitely marred the event.

Quirky art deco hotel with great facilities
Pros:

Lovely art deco hotel with really interesting history and original features. Room spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Watched the wing walkers!

Cons:

Breakfast was ok but for personal preference would rather have buffet style and the coffee and orange juice were pretty poor compared to the standard of everything else.

Lovely hotel and great staff. Food in the evening was delicious.

Pros:

Receptionist incredibly friendly on arrival. Hotel looks stunning from the outside and common areas. Biscuits and peppermints in room. Location - used for Baby Lock training workshop. Coffee good at breakfast. Free parking.

Cons:

My bath had water in it with hairs on arrival.... This made me wonder if it had been properly cleaned. The room was very basic, stained carpet and hollow sounding floors. The view was a back carpark that had a service vehicle arrive late noisy. The next morning the host at breakfast did not explain the help yourself buffet/ coffee etc but just gave a menu. The breakfast itself sounded good avocado with poached egg on granary toast but bread tasted old and cold, avocado not very nice. I left most. Disappointing.
Going back to my room after breakfast the housekeeping room? was next door and a cacophony of noise was coming through the walls?! Not sure what was going on.
An explanation in the room on location of iron would be useful rather than having to go back to reception to go back to the bedroom block and then to the ironing room. With a few tweaks would have returned. Look carefully at your housekeeping. A bath with water in is not acceptable.

Interesting place!
Pros:

Amazing staff fantastic museum on site and the memorabilia round the site
Pros:

It’s on a live airport with vintage WW2 spitfires and P47 mustangs flying round fantastic to see them still in the air now and again you mite see a wind walker too

Unique hotel
Pros:

Unique hotel in lovely setting. Comfortable old fashioned rooms with free tea, coffee and biscuits. Nice restaurant and bar with terrace.

Cons:

The iron! I complained that it was really stained and stained my clothes but they never cleaned it! I mean it looks like it was from the 1920s.. plus no net curtains so if your room is at the front everyone can see you! Zero privacy so get a room at the back.

Fab hidden gem of a hotel!
