Quirky art-deco aviation themed on airfield!
Management and Food and that they take a non-optional card payment on arrival even if the room is fully paid for….
This effectively prevents anyone withholding payment payment for anything. So if you have a meal that’s badly cooked, and you complain they can just shrug their shoulders and say Tough!
Clean, comfortable
Basic facilities, and noisy car park..paying £100 deposit after paying bill
History , location, comfort, food
With breakfast included it was a bit expensive for its rating, also service at breakfast bearing in mind the price was no better than average
Location
Room was very basic. Bathroom should have a separate hand held shower for easy hair washing, the fixed shower made that very difficult
Love the Art Deco 'aero vibe'
We had a 90th party for 26 people - the menu was varied, lovely, hot and arrived on time. The breakfast was also varied and perfect. Every member of staff were polite, helpful and efficient.
Everyone had such a lovely time I didn't notice anything negative!!
The staff , food and atmosphere was great
The bed was very uncomfortable need a new mattress and the room needs black out blinds did not sleep all night
The setup of the hotel is very cool. Its well organised. Rooms are of a decent size and decent showers and the beds were very comfortable. Also Hot Chocolate sachets in each room is absolutely superb.
They moved me to an upstairs room by my request and the did what they could to help.
Erm the lack of tvs and sports in the bar area. I tried to watch football in there and they couldn't help. I think if there was a tv with channels and possible sports it could help. There was a bit of noise from the cleaners outside my room when I was trying to nap made it difficult to rest. Apart from that can't complain.
Was an overnight stay, superb location, everything was perfect. Lovely garden and terrace.
Nothing to dislike.
Amazing location for aviation fans and lots of history . Best hotel garden and views .
Friendly staff , clean and comfortable hotel with good air conditioning in bedrooms..Good restaurant .
Excellent location for wing walking experience. Art deco building and quite unique. Food and service in bar restaurant was excellent. Nice friendly staff.
I would definitely stay here again.
The 100 deposit taken at first put me off , but in the end the stay was so good it didn't really matter just means you can charge to your room
Great decor and a nice warm environment
When checking in and having to leave £100 deposit, they do not take contactless payment.
I didn’t have my card with me and it was the right pain to get my card Details, so they could type in the number on their machine. Don’t understand why this can’t be done when they took contactless everywhere else in the hotel.
Bedrooms were very dated and needed an upgrade, bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and the smallest TV in the room you have ever seen.
No plug sockets by the bed which can be very inconvenient, especially for people like myself who has to use a sleep apnoea CPAP machine nowhere to plug it in next to the bed.
Bedroom doors also were sprung too heavily and slammed all night when people entered their rooms.
Definitely not worth the price paid.
