The room we had had a few issues wrong size of toilet seat lots of dog hair in room we have stayed there a few times that was the first time we had a poor room

Pros:

Un super hôtel pas cher pour la région. Jolie chambre à 2 lits vue sur le fjord. Grande salle de bains. Un pub en bas pour se désaltérer (il ferme tôt pas de bruit)et beaucoup de choix de restos dans la ville. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et pas cher.

Pros:

The restaurant was for sure the perk of our stay. The food we had was top notch. We will be back to sample more from the menu on our next stay in Gourock. Really nice staff and great views from the hotel.

Good friendly hotel with character.
Pros:

It’s a good place as a stopover when travelling long distances. Very convenient for the shops at Port Glasgow, while being in a much nicer area. We spent time in Largs first, and that’s very near. This is a friendly place with lots of character. It’s obvious the locals love it too. We really like the rooms facing the water and watching the boats. Beautiful view! The room and bed were very comfortable, and the shower was very good too. We had an evening meal and breakfast - both were very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We parked in the road, which was fine and handy too.

Most enjoyable two night stay
Pros:

Location was superb. Frequent public transport to travel north or south. Parking available near to the property. Very good breakfast.

Cons:

Nothing of note. There was refurbishment going on but that is a positive.

Great old style hotel with bar and restaurant on the waterfront
Pros:

The location was excellent - right on the waterfront and ten minutes walk to the station and town centre - and there is a good restaurant on site. Staff were super friendly. The room was ok. I knew it was small so that was no surprise. The bathroom was excellent and bigger than expected.

Cons:

No fault of the hotel but they had a ceiling collapse just before I arrived so there was work going on for the first part of my stay. Pillows were not comfortable.

What's not to like.... The room, the shower, the staff, the food are all amazing. My 2nd time staying there and would not hesitate to stay again next time I'm up in Scotland 🥰

Very Good Value and a Lovely View
Pros:

Whatever you do get a sea view. We had a lovely room overlooking the Clyde which was lovely. The room was comfy and the bathroom adequate. Nothing fancy but it was a great price and clean and tidy. There was a useful table by the window to enjoy the view too

Pros:

I go to this hotel often when I am back in Scotland and really enjoy it. The rooms are very confortable and quiet (despite being above a pub!) and the views out to the Clyde are beautiful. The restaurant and breakfast is really good.
