Lovely Lanes
Pros:

I've stayed in The Lanes twice before and will stay again. Its a lovely older style hotel where you are treated as an individual and a values guest. The rooms are calm and warm and the staff are excellent, including the housekeeping, who remembered me and brought me extra blankets. Lovely place.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike here and I'll be back

Spacious room for short stay in Brighton
Pros:

Good location on seafront
Spacious comfortable room with side sea view on quieter area of town. Lots of places to eat
Friendly helpful staff

Cons:

Mostly OK but would have benefited from window catch being fixed as it was very windy
Also would have been nice to have some shower gel 😊

Pros:

Location

Cons:

There was one male staff member who was very rude. He told me that he can ask me TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY on the 2nd day of stay, which nobody will like if you are paying £208 for 2 days and there is no working lift to carry the stroller or luggage. BUT I WAS STILL OK TO ADJUST.

I was not aware that I can not take the food to the room which I’m ok with if they say it in polite way. The sole reason for ordering the food at hotel was I had a baby whom I cannot leave alone if she is sleeping. And I requested to allow one last time because I already ordered the food and I will pay what so ever penalty if you see any damage to the property.

The property is very old, cracks near the window border, glasses were not clear, carpet was dusty. My suggestion would be to choose another hotel if you are spending more than £140 for this hotel.

Comfortable, but parking was an issue and the female manager was rude.
Pros:

The view from the 4th floor was fantastic, it was cosy and clean with coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Mike the manager was helpful and tried to get us parked up on Satarday evening as there were no parking spaces at the Hotel.

Cons:

Parking was an issue. It took 2 hours to find a parking space on Saturday night as Brighton was busy. The Kitchen was closed so no breakfast was available. The night manageress spoke to us on Saturday evening like we were not entitled to stay at the Hotel, in fact she was going to ask us to leave as we wanted to sit and have a nightcap in the Restaurant before retiring with a special bottle of Rum as the Bar had limited stock. I understand the corkage issue, but to be spoken like we were children when all of us have served out country for many years was really not called for.
