Location. Staff.

Cons:

Needs a good refurbishment in a lot of areas, especially the decking outside. The table and chairs were full of woodworm and rotting away.. for the price £170 per night, it wernt worth it. You're not allowed to bring food in your room, and when you leave to go out, you have to leave your key behind.

Tutto! Struttura fatiscente . Vecchia e datata e decadente . Staff incompetente . Risposte confusionarie e volte sempre a farti pagare extra . Per il parcheggio in strada hanno richiesto il pagamento di 17 sterline per l’abbonamento giornaliera quando il costo è 9,5 sterline e da quanto indicato dal loro stesso sito ! Camere rifatte male , letti scomodi , pulizia generale scarsa . Colazione scarsa . Pessima esperienza . Spremono il cliente di Booking applicando condizioni e costi più alti rispetto alle loro politiche

the hotel was one star, basic and dirty
Pros:

in high season there was no lift, dirty and rusty carpet. bath room was very basic with a dirty and no working fan, old furniture, one of the worst experience I ever had with such an expensive hotel (£210 per night without breakfast)

Cons:

compare to the price it was too basic and dirty.

The room was tastefully decorated and modern and well thought out. The bed was comfortable. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Good value for money. The historic front lounge was nicely decorated.

Cons:

The outside appearance of the hotel looks a bit run down. When I arrived and saw it, I was concerned it would be run down hotel inside. I was wrong. I was pleasantly surprised that inside the bedrooms were furnished to a high standard and were immaculate.
Each time you leave the hotel you have to hand your key in at reception. If there is a queue at reception this means waiting which can be slightly inconvenient.
