I should definitely take a moment to appreciate the customer service provided! Amazing team! Such friendly staffs, and a big shoutout to Mr Jishnu for making me feel like home!
There is nothing wrong!
The location was exceptional and the view from our window was incredible. The staff were kind, extremely friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome and despite being very busy, each staff member took time to chat throughout our stay.
Nothing
great location, lots of walks and swimming spots, and close to the stunning Rannerdale bluebells. very friendly and helpful staff. good breakfast, comfy beds and nice room. also easy to park as they reserve spaces for guests (parking can be tricky in Buttermere!).
The restaurant is a bit soulless; it didn't help that it was almost empty on the night we were there. Most seemed to be in the hotel next door for dinner, which had a nice atmosphere, but service was erratic at best.
The location at the western end of Buttermere is beautiful. The rooms, restaurant and bar were all clean, comfortable and exactly matched the listing. Our stay was made extra special by the staff, who were all really friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Nothing, had a great stay.
Excellent property

Lovely staff,
Very accommodating and helpful.
Beautiful area.
Lovely food!
Would stay again x
Bed wasn't the comfiest and pretty small,
At 5ft 11, my feet were hanging off the end.
The proximity to the lake
A bit warm in the restaurant
Very clean rooms and pleasant staff
Duvet was quite warm to sleep in. Double bed could have been changed to a king size
The Staff and Breakfast were fantastic - amazing location for some epic walks.
Great central location for hiking
Huge clean rooms with fluffy white towels
The room was very clean, with stunning views, a lovely well maintained bathroom, and a good size, we enjoyed our stay here, and would recommend. It was quiet, and we got a great nights sleep which was ideal when doing 3 back to back hiking days! The breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming and we really liked being seated in the pool room (dog friendly zone) in the window where it was quieter. We enjoyed the breakfast, with a mixture of help yourself, and order from the menu. It has a really cute and handy shop (lots of items people might forget like chargers and toothbrushes) in the front area, we didn’t buy anything but it was a nice attention to detail.
There was a key & code to get in and out once the staff went, so taking the dogs out was easy and simple. There are bins near gate where the cattle grid is and at the back of the hotel where the public toilets are.
Parking is right by the hotel, just hand your registration to the hotel receptionist, and you don’t have the pay and display
The food at the attached pub was disappointing, the fish tasted like it was from frozen and cooked in the oven, same with the chips, and standard frozen peas.
The tall narrow bedside tables with lamps on were quite unstable and wobbly.
Fantastic location. Friendly staff. Very dog friendly and brought our dog a sausage for her breakfast.
The menu in the restaurant could have been more varied, particularly in respect of vegetarian options. It would also have been nice to see a full English vegetarian option on the breakfast menu.
Breakfast was very good, staff explained what was on offer for breakfast was cooked very nice and also good choice.
Location was beautiful stunning views will definitely go back to do some walking.
not sure I could possible say what could of been better as staff are very good very helpful our room was lovely for an overnight stay beer garden was lovely.
