Pros:

Location

Cons:

The lady on reception. Got there 1.40 went to reception lady said cant book in till 2.00 Which was fare enough because that what it said on our booking. So waited till 2.00 outside then back in and stood there with all our bags and a lady behind me. The receptionist didn't turn up till after 2.10 which I didn't think was very professional. Everything else and everyone else where brilliant.

Perfect in every way, will definitely be back
Pros:

Staff were incredible. So helpful and friendly. I shared a twin room with a friend and our dogs , the room size was perfect. We had drinks in the bar the evening we arrived. Great choice, fast service, lovely bar area. Breakfast was great. Lots of choice again friendly service. Super easy check out with the key drop off. We ate late afternoon on the Sunday, again service incredible. Food was delicious. So accommodating to all our friends with all their dogs. Could not recommend this hotel enough.

Pros:

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, and a special mention goes to Rachel, who was fantastic. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and modern, with stunning views of the mountains that made our stay even more special. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and offered a great selection to start the day. Dinner in the restaurant was brilliant too!

Overall, a fantastic stay with excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!

A wonderful hotel with comfortable rooms and delicious food, with friendly staff in an idyllic spot.
Pros:

The breakfast, in fact all food, was delicious. The staff were friendly and seemed happy to be there.

Cons:

The description of the lake view apartment makes it sound as though it's a separate property from the main building (at least thats how I read it). Due to our party's size, we wanted somewhere that we could stay up a little later without disturbing other guests. However, the apartment was in the same area as the other rooms. Not a huge deal but we did feel like we were sneaking around a bit.

Great service and food but a small room
Pros:

The hotel does have a prime location on the lake so it's very pleasant to be in the area after the day trippers have gone.
The staff who dealt with us on reception, in the bar and restaurant and especially at breakfast were outstanding - definitely 10 out of 10. Hospitable, friendly and welcoming throughout. The food too both in the evening and at breakfast was extremely good, freshly prepared and with generous portions and well cooked. The evening menu is a little limited but in staying just 2 nights that wasn't an issue. Certainly at least a 9 for food.
The bedroom, apart from an overlooked full bin, was clean, bright and pleasant as was the bathroom but for £181 per night it was overpriced for what was offered.

Cons:

The value for money comment I've made is for these reasons: the room for its price is small. I was glad to be on my own rather than fitting two people into it. There was a double bed but there was nowhere to put clothing really as there were 3 coat hangers in a wardrobe but no shelf space other than a very high shelf which wasn't of any practical use..The bedside tables only had one very shallow drawer. The small desk 'space' was filled with the tea and coffee tray so nowhere to write easily. I was delighted there was a bath but there was no soap other than the dispensers which aren't in reach when in a bath. There are no hooks in the room to hang an outside coat or two. There is just a blind over the window which needed to be pulled down as the room directly overlooks the car park - with a nice view beyond - but certainly the occupants of the room are visible from the car park. The only ventilation was from the one window. I know it's the Lake District but it would need a fan in hot weather as the room faced south. I believe I was staying in a standard double. I'd certainly look for something bigger in future.

Great place to stay in a stunning location
Pros:

Perfect location, clean, comfortable room, staff friendly and welcoming and very accommodating of our dog. Our evening meal was plentiful and piping hot, buffet and cooked breakfast options were fine. Would definitely visit again.

Cons:

Husband complained about the beer! Not quite cold enough, seemed to lose any 'life' quite quickly down the pint. And no-one seemed able to pour a proper head, apparently!
