It was a birthday treat for my husband who enjoyed everything. We have been many times before and we will be back again
Pros:

Beautiful location, comfortable bed, large bedroom stunning views. Wonderful and attentive staff. Lovely food menu in restaurant changes daily. Wide variety of meals between the bar and restaurant menu there’s something for everyone.

Good value with really friendly staff.
Pros:

Breakfast great. Staff helpful, friendly and courteous.
Towels and bed linen lovely. Don’t think the small pool should be chargeable. Grounds lovely but would benefit from more attention to detail when mowing/strimming. Some of hotel looks tired and needs some TLC/investment. Own riverside walk is fantastic.

I won’t be rushing back.
Pros:

The staff have been here a long time and much of their clientele are returning guests who appreciate the homely feel.

Cons:

The whole place was outdated and mismatched. Service was fine but not special.

Great place to spend a quiet weekend
Pros:

Beautiful hotel well located in the countryside. You can get to Kielder by car in about 15 minutes. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the food was beautiful.

We liked everything about our stay at Riverdale. The staff were lovely and friendly. A big shout out to barman james!!
Room was lovely clean warm with a fabulous view. Food and drink enjoyable and very dog friendly 👍.

The weather and we forgot our swimsuits.
