Staff were helpful friendly and very good. Location is lovely and picturesque. Food was ok although not that plentiful and tbh I'd rather pay for quality and substance over presentation.
Food not great value and sadly my room. Situated in room 2 I believe I was below the kitchen/dining area. If you're staying in or expecting an early night do not. Although the kitchen stop serving at 8.30pm there was still continuous LOUD banging until around 10.30pm. I guess no ones fault but I wouldn't stay again for that reason alone BUT at least the Kitchen is guaranteed to be clean.
Also the room needs a curtain or blind over its one window. Although its a frosted window and low down daylight does come through as soon as suns up. Late night/early morning = Not that refreshed.
The breakfast was good but not included in the price. Outstanding location next to the lake, peaceful.

I returned from a day out at 9.15pm on a Sunday. It was a very hot day and I went to the bar for a cold drink, only to be told by staff that the bar is closed. I asked if I could get a drink and pay in the morning and was told no. The water in my room was warm.

Sign showing hotel guest parking would have saved me parking in the restaurant parking area. No actual sign for Reception from the road, or at least I did not see one.
All very good, have stayed before, would stay again. Food is great, always has vegan and gluten free options as standard, which is very much appreciated as it can be soul destroying to pay full price for a meal that requires stripping out of many of its component parts to fit the dietary requirements.
It was very noisy on the night I stayed, lots of clanging and banging overhead. No idea why, hadn't been like that when I stayed before.

Not enough shelf and storage space. Room was cramped. Not much of a view, room quite hot and just felt over priced for what it was.

The room was really comfortable, beautiful and clean. The area and dining space was stunning with views overlooking the lake. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay, I can’t rate them highly enough - thank you for making it such an exceptional wedding anniversary!

The staff are excellent people. Very friendly and welcoming. The location is very relaxing with excellent views from the outside eating area. Food is very good particularly the steak.
The accommodation, although cheap in comparison with other nearby hotels, is noisy in the morning when the beer delivery and dustbin men arrive very early. The road to the hotel is full of pot holes and sleeping policemen

Fire alarm went off twice in the morning which woke me up but both were false alarms despite being told there were no drills scheduled...

We stayed here as we were having a get together for my sister's 60th birthday. Adrian & Daniel were exceptionally accommodating & made sure we all had a fabulous time. All the food we ordered was delicious, served by staff who were warm & friendly. Our hotel room was exceptionally clean & the bed super comfy. The bathroom had a big walk in shower & nice quality toiletries were supplied. We 100% recommend The Wiremill for their hotel accommodation & their restaurant. We'll definitely stay again.
