The location is perfect. View to the lake on a good day is amazing. Bar/restaurant setting is lovely, although it does close early. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
The room was in need of a little attention. We felt the carpet needed replacing and some paintwork needed to be done.
Great value lots of extras included
Room was a little cold on arrival and no smart TV
Clean spacious and a touch of luxury
Nothing
Staff were welcoming, room was clean and comfortable.
Excellent value for money. Clean rooms, all amenities in the room.
Because it is quiet in the week they only offer breakfast Friday to Sunday.
Breakfast was perfect, the room was spotless and lots of quaint little touches, TV actually worked shower was hot, I felt like I was a welcomed guest not just a punter. Scenery was fabulouse and the building oozed history.
Bar could have stayed open longer.
Loved everything,
Fan going all night, below kitchen walking about but not too bad
Very friendly staff. Greeted on arrival, shown around & just lovely & warm approach. Had a great chat with the manager during our evening drinks too! Thank you.
Location is excellent
The room was damp, bedding felt and smelled damp. Carpet stained just inside the door. Toilet roll holder was broken. Door handle to the glass door of the en-suite came off (grub screw was loose). Every time a plane went over head the TV lost its signal briefly
The uniqueness of the room, the relaxed and beautiful environment, the warmth of the staff
Nothing
Only problem i havent received vat invoice from the hotel yet.
Lovely setting. The room was nicely styled.
The kitchen was closed at 7.30 pm, after a long journey we'd hoped to eat there. The website didn't explain it would be closed. After finding elsewhere to eat, we thought we'd go back and have s drink, only to be told the bar was closed, this was 9.20 pm. The room smelled of smoke, so I asked my husband to open the window which we quickly had to close because of the bins outside which were smelly. This is a shame because the room was lovely, really nicely styled with a comfy bed and good ensuite.
Friendly and welcoming staff
Beautiful rooms, lovely atmosphere and very peaceful
No breakfast available during the week. Not the properties fault because apparently they have asked booking.com many times to update their info and they have not done so. Rather disappointed. However, the lovely staff at Wire mill suggested a local garden nursery that did a good breakfast.
