Room was excellent. Food in the bar was very good (steak pie) and the staff were outstanding.

Location for party

It was in an ideal location for me, the bed was large and comfortable and there was a bath as well as a shower. There was also a good dining area where I could obtain an evening meal before going to the theatre.

Used The Clock Face to stay over for a wedding we were attending at nearby Knowsley Hall. The staff were very accommodating, bending over backwards to prep our rooms for an early arrival and the check in process was easy, our room was a very pleasant surprise, decorated in a comfortable and modern style, with a very comfortable bed and great bathroom facilities, as there is a restaurant downstairs, our group had a full cooked breakfast and coffee which was presented well and all the ingredients were fresh and well cooked. Small gripes, we had no information in our room as to the facilities, check out times etc and local information which would have been a nice touch as we didn't even know if there was Wifi available and what the password was even if it was available. Also the room was a bit chilly no doubt as the heating was off in British summertime however we couldn't control the heating within the room ourselves, however these were all minor gripes for what was overall a great stay at a great price, would whole heartedly recommend and would not hesitate in returning in the future.

I am still in complete trauma no ne failed to tell me when I booked and paid I would be the only soul at the pub/Hotel til early morning..
I heard a bang in the hall fire alarm screeching I was half asleep I opened door called out realised I was the only one there! I h was hyperventilating the alarm wouldn't stop no one came I locked myself out my room in bare feet no phone nothing ! I was forced to call the fire brigade even they could not understand how the hell a guest would be left alone it was totally terrifying..the diree men rescued me they opened my door with crow bar I was having angina attack needed my gtn 💊 th staff I plan to claim compensation from treated me like filth for the rest of my staff spoken discusting to me didn't clean my room I am distresesd and unwell after this. Can u help.me with refund please

We didn’t eat here but the location was good for us and the property was very good and everyone very helpful and obliging. Excellent parking.
