Very kind and helpful staff, good communication in the app and at the hotel. You get a key to the front door with the one to the room, so you can get inside at any time of day/night, even when there's noone at the reception desk. Clean bed linen, no bugs/rats/mice or bad smells - at least in our room. The temperatures in London were very nice throughout, and the temperatures inside were comfortable despite there being no AC. The streets were quite loud at night (especially late evening and early morning) but it was bearable in the room with the windows closed and the thick curtains drawn. The room itself (along with the private bathroom) was comfortable enough for us but we did not have high expectations and were OK with the bare minimum of basic amenities. We asked for an extra duvet for the twin bed and got one without any issues at no extra cost; it was also easy to borrow a hair dryer from the receptionist or get more toilet paper etc.. There was a working electric kettle in the room, a few mugs and some instant coffee packs (plus sugar and milk) and tea bags, so it was a nice addition if you wanted a quick tea or coffe after returning from a long day of walking around London or if you wanted to boil some water and let it cool to refill your bottles (in case you didn't want to drink tap water). There was also a working electric fan on the table in case it got too hot in the room. The three-person room had a single and a twin bed plus a comfortable chair and a small table, two platforms (which seemed like some type of low tables) stacked on top of each other that served as an extra shelf for your stuff, a shelf below the TV, a wall hanger and a standing clothes hanger, a wall-hanging mirror. There were enough wall sockets (also near the beds) to plug in some devices such as chargers in the room. Good free WiFi. Our overall impression (2 adults, 1 teenager) was really good for mostly sleeping and washing there.
I didn't dislike things but there's room for improvement like adding an electrical socket to plug in a hair dryer etc. in the bathroom. A small cabinet in the room would be nice (there was none) and a shelf in the bathroom (there was only a small wall lamp above the mirror, and a raised area above the floor to cover water piping). It was difficult to get a desired water temperature in the washbasin due to the separate hot and cold water taps, which were short, so the streams never mixed and you got a very hot one on the left and a cold one on the right (it was easier in the shower with the single mixed stream and a separate temperature knob but it took some trial and error to get it right - just don't set the temperature to too high and let the water run fast enough to get to a warmer or colder mixture without a long wait). The cold water tap was also fitted incorrectly, so it needed to be held in a more convenient position with a hand or something because there was very little room to reach the stream (the same applies to filling the kettle or washing fruit etc., which was very difficult in the hot stream because it was too hot for the hands). The shower was actually a good alternative for filling the kettle or washing fruit though it was then easy to get the floor wet in the process. The interior seemed clean enough at first glance and the colors and the brightness were better IRL than in the photos but if you looked closely, there were lots of places that hadn't been cleaned well (dust) and even a guest's personal item left under the bed; the windows weren't too clean, either. One of the windows did not shut well due to a small metal part at the bottom protruding and preventing good fit with the rest of the frame. The small light above the bathroom mirror didn't work and the wall shelf & wall hanger in the room were crooked/badly fixed; beds reinforced with wood beams/zip ties. OK with our managed expectations.
Personnel adorable, très bien placé et chambre très correcte pour le prix avec du thé offert.

Very close to railway transport for either a trip around London or to the airport; also only a short walk to Hyde Park. There were plenty of nice pubs nearby. The manager, Ashiq was very helpful in getting some property that I left behind back to me in Oz.

Very good value . Brilliant location right in middle Paddington . Welcoming staff . Have stayed numerous times will keep using this hotel as ticks all boxes
The hotel handled the situation very seriously and professionally once I was able to get in contact with them. They responded quickly, communicated well throughout the process and arranged a full refund.
The water leak and electrical issue in the middle of the night was extremely concerning. I was unable to reach anyone at the hotel despite repeated attempts over approximately two hours, which meant I had to contact the fire department and ultimately leave the hotel.
One of the main strengths of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. It is situated right next to Paddington Station and public transport links, which makes it extremely convenient for getting around London.
When I arrived, the room was clean and, despite booking for one person, I had a double bed, which was very much appreciated. The weather in London was quite warm during my stay, but a fan was provided in the room and it was well ventilated, which helped keep the temperature perfectly manageable.
There are also several small but practical details worth mentioning: electrical sockets are available close to the bed, the light switch can be reached from the bed, and a large curtain provides good coverage of the window.
The key system also allows guests to be completely independent when entering and leaving the property, including late in the evening, which I found very convenient.
Finally, the staff were generally friendly and polite. On the day of my departure, a member of staff even came outside to say goodbye and offered to look after my suitcase if I needed somewhere to leave it before my train. It was a nice gesture to end the stay.
The main issue during my stay was the quality of sleep. The hotel is literally next to the Underground station, so trains and station announcements can be clearly heard, particularly with the window open. The Underground stops for part of the night but starts again early in the morning. This is obviously linked to the excellent location, but it is worth knowing if you are looking for somewhere quiet.
More importantly, vibrations caused by people moving around the building could be felt through the bed, particularly late at night or early in the morning. Doors closing can also be clearly heard. This woke me up several times. The mattress is also quite thin and firm, to the point where the support underneath can be felt.
The room also lacks storage and could be better arranged for a stay of several days. The bathroom has virtually nowhere to put toiletries and there was no hairdryer. The washbasin taps and shower controls were also loose and needed to be handled carefully.
The most disappointing aspect, however, was housekeeping. The bed linen was never changed during my stay. I know this because marks I accidentally made during my second night were still there when I left. I also removed a stained duvet cover so that it could be replaced, but this was not done. On some days the bin was emptied, confirming that housekeeping had entered, but the bed linen remained unchanged. On one day, the bin was not emptied either.
Finally, considering the price paid, I found the value for money average. The Paddington location is excellent, but location alone does not justify the price: the standard of comfort and service should follow. For a trip planned in advance, I would personally choose another hotel in the area.
The location
The shower temparature not good. Could hear another resident in full conversation on their phone. The noise from the air conditioning unit next to the hotel room window was continious. And that continious noise from the aircon unit just added to the poor comfort in an already sparse basic tired room making it very unbearable.
Superb location just a stone’s throw from Paddington station. Very reasonable price.
Very basic facilities. Cleanliness was questionable. Limescale and dust throughout the bathroom. Window on first floor didn’t lock leaving the room very noisy and unsecured. Fan didn’t work which needed changing. Lock to door very temperamental. Beds wobbly and on last legs.
Excellent location and great value for money
Bathroom needed some attention
