The Mulberry Inn is a super little spot, with high end staff, service and food!
Pros:

What a little gem, what a find! We were driving (from London) to Holyhead for the ferry and wanted to break the journey overnight. The Mulberry Inn seemed like a good spot, located near Llangollen (a few miles off the A5). Oh my, what a location! You could here a pin drop. The hotel itself was on the edge of a sleepy little hamlet with a shop and post office. The scenery was superb, with views across the valley! The staff were super, nothing was too much. The food was high class quality, perfectly presented! The rooms were right up there with some of the best we've stayed in, with added little touches to make your stay even more enjoyable! The gauge of a great place is the returning guests, and this was so evident! Allan (the owner) has done a wonderful job, and we'll certainly be back!

Cons:

Nothing at all!

I mention the issue with the room as I believe there is a problem with it, and not just related to the heatwave. I notif
Pros:

The evening meal was very good, as was breakfast.
It’s in a lovely area.
The room, whilst billed as a Cosy Double, was a good size for us and our two dogs and had more amenities than we expected.
Most of the staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful

Cons:

The room we were in was too hot & we couldn’t sleep the first night. We actually both felt quite ill.
As it had been a heatwave, we decided to see if it was better the second night as the temperature had dropped by 10’ and the Inn cannot be held responsible for a heatwave! Unfortunately though, it made no difference, and we decided to leave the hotel as we were only staying the two nights and moving rooms would have been hassle (I was told at checkout that there were no other rooms anyway). We were in Room 19.
Whilst most of the staff were very lovely, the manager was very abrupt and made us feel uncomfortable when we met him at breakfast.
For these reasons we won’t be returning.
I’d like to add, at no point did we request a refund, or expect it, but the lady on reception did kindly reimburse us the second night’s fee for our dogs, which I didn’t expect.

Very comfortable country hotel in glorious location.
Pros:

First time we've ever had our own carton of fresh milk for the tea/coffee. Plenty of biscuits too and an honesty fridge.

Cons:

Hot in the room but this was the period of the heatwave so it was understandable- getting a through draught with the windows made all the difference.

Pros:

We had an amazing experience at The Mulberry Inn. The service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. We accidentally left a suitcase on departure. Jess and Allen went out of their way to arrange to have the suitcase forwarded to us via Royal Mail. We cannot express our gratitude. The food was outstanding too.
