Breakfast was lovely and in a great setting. Lovely staff who were helpful. Room was clean and adequate but needed a little tlc.
Nothing to say really apart from being a bit tired in places.
The staff were friendly, helpful and nice to talk to. Having young, confident staff with a good sense of humour makes a huge difference. The choice of food and drink was excellent and the quality of the food (including dinner and breakfast) were also excellent. Check in and out couldn't have been simpler and everyone was soooo friendly. The bedrooms were quiet, clean and comfy.
Nothing - just a really lovely place to go.
The courtyard, the staff, the room
Due to hot weather in previous days it was warm in the rooms, but were provided with a fan
Excellent breakfast
Room small very hot with no A/c and noisy from road outside. Wi-Fi almost non existent in room
Very welcoming and staff brilliant.
Bedroom was spotless and clean and beds very comfortable. Beautiful setting and gardens
Nothing
The hotel was lovely, very oldie worldy which gave it a homely feel. The rooms are basic but very comfortable. The garden outside seating area was very nice. We would definitely stay there again.
No air con, it was a very warm weekend and the fan was good but not really sufficient and no fridge made it difficult to keep water cold.
Lovely peaceful location with a large car park. Great garden area to sit out in the sunshine and enjoy a cold drink.
We had an attic bedroom. So was a bit hot as it was the week of the really hot weather. There was a fan in the room, which did help to cool it down.
The staff here are really lovely and helpful, breakfast was great too and good drinks selection. The outdoor area is beautiful and it is a very quiet location. Would definitely return.
Only downside was the room was very hot as not much ventilation but we still had a good sleep
Hotel excellent, very clean, comfy bed, lovely room, with en suite bathroom, and lovely views from bedroom window of an big area to sit out, with ample chairs, tables, and sun umbrellas, and a lovely pond. Evening meal and breakfast was all very nice, and very pleasant staff. Hotel was tastefully decorated and furnished.
The hotel from the outside did not really do the hotel justice, but once you walked inside, it was beautiful. The outside was dull and drab, and the outside signage is very poor, until you get right upon the hotel, easily to be missed!
The Pine Marten is in a great location when visiting the centre, Knaresborough etc.The establishment has a cosy ambience, the garden is lovely with lots of seating. Our room was clean and comfortable. The food was good, and service was generally good in the restaurant. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
There was very limited space within the room to hang clothes, only one chair in the room, extra seating would be a positive, the room was large and could easily accommodate a seating area. Service in the restaurant on our second night was not so good. The vegetarian and vegan choices were very limited especially the mains. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious however cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast, danish etc were only available upon request.
