This is the third visit this year. the fan in the bathroom did not work in either room. The shower valve is not Thermostatic. I thought that contravened Building Regulations. It is so easy to scold oneself.
Regardless of my grumbles I really like this hotel and will come back again soon.

Bed was really comfy. Definitely needed the extra pillows out of the cupboard though.
Didn't get to use the pool or saunas sadly so cannot comment.
The bathroom was a little dated. It could have definitely been more appealing / modern.
There was not a lot of choice at breakfast for gluten free. They only offered toast. There were no pastries or cereal available. Also the sausage and hash brown were NOT gluten free which is poor.
the room was ok ,breakfast was good ,location was good, impressed that all the doors shut when the fire alarm when off unexpectly early in the morning. coundn't get the fan to work alot of walking to our room & no Wifi
It needs a lift the young girl took ours suitcase up the stairs for us no problem, The evening memu was the same except for the specials which weren't very exciting one evening special just currey!!
SWIMMING POOL I go swiming 3 times aweek at my local pool and found the water in your pool cloudy felt as it had softer in it and when walking down the steps the tiles were slippery and in the deeper end the tiles were same.

Easy reach from Portsmouth
Hotel is tired looking in places. Room had no shaver socket. Drinks provided but no bottle opener. Coffee machine as dirty. Sink was blocked. Staff very indifferent leaving us feeling like they didn’t care.
Room size, view and spa
Our room-185 was above the delivery point so from 5.15 the noise of staff and vehicles was a problem. Especially reversing lorries!
Room very dated, did not get my Booking.com upgrade on booking. Room provided smelt, and then was moved to a new room, same outdated style but acceptable. Restaurant okay, evening meal okay but breakfast provided a large choice and was good.
