Lovely place, great rooms with everything you need.. lovely breakfast too. Good location for visiting the area.
Nothing
Very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Very dog friendly.
Good breakfast but standard of evening dining a bit hit and miss.
Dinner was very nice as was breakfast
Room was a little dusty, quite a bit of dust on the radiator. could do with a little more upkeep, many signs of dampness in the bathroom, however the bedding etc was very clean
Amazing welcome by the staff on arrival, and throughout our stay, very clean rooms and comfortable bed
Room 2 window rattles in the wind, easily fixed it with some well placed cardboard though 😁, other than that all was very good
A beautiful manor house in a secluded part of Berwick upon Tweed.
Lovely decor in the rooms.
Sea views
Garden is beautiful.
Bar was nice.
Good value for money.
Staff are very attentive and friendly. Especially reception staff.
Driving distance to all castles and Holy Island etc.
Not many gluten free options on the dinner and dessert menu.
The TV in the room was on the wall beside the bed with the bed facing forward. You had to crane your neck to watch anything in bed.
Other than that, nothing really.
We enjoyed the stay.
Excellent location. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the grounds are gorgeous.
Not one thing.
All the staff were excellent - friendly, polite and very efficient. Bedrooms are warm, comfortable and well equipped.
Windows are difficult to open
Service standard of food and rooms.
Na
All meals taken for the one night stay were excellent and the public rooms all very comfortable. The room was fine for a one night stay, a small table in the room and another chair would have been great. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.
As one of our party has Parkinson's to a medium level, it would be really good if the shower could have at least a handle, a seat in the shower and in the bathroom would be helpful. We did understand that this was not an accessible room but knew we could manage. The stairs were ok but if you could ever develop a ground floor room it would be excellent for people with more extreme disabilities.
Nothing, a quiet beautiful location, yet easy access to the A1.
The bed was super comfy and TV with remote worked well, nice view from room! Room was clean, shower was lovely and easy to use! Breakfast was exceptional and could not be beaten!! Staff were fantastic and very helpful when asked for more tea and coffee and soap for our room, couldn't fault them! Would definitely stay again, but in a different room!!!
Our room was very dark and needed better lighting!! There was no shaving light or lighting to do make up!! There were marks on bathroom ceiling and there was no soap to use for washing our hands with the complimentary toiletries! Complimentary tea tray was poor with no biscuits due to a resident with nut allergy, but nuts were on the menu in restaurant!! Felt that food in restaurant was a bit overpriced, but the staff, especially Kim, were absolutely fantastic!!
Lovely hotel, welcoming staff and very dog friendly.
Better than expected
Friendly and helpful staff. Great food and lovely surroundings.
Nothing
Service at breakfast and dinner far to slow and food was just ok
Relaxed elegance. Staff attentive but unintrusive. Food excellent
The only minor quibble I had was that the bathroom could have done with more/more effective lighting.
The staff at the property were very welcoming and nothing seemed to much trouble. The food was delicious. The room was clean, spacious and comfy.
The bar area was light and airy.
It's a little bit hard to find via sat-nav, but this was not any fault of the hotel
