Bizarre place - some customer service skills and a lick of paint needed

Cons:

Check-in was bizarre - walked in with our bags to see two women running around after a toddler in a nappy and a babygro. After five minutes, one of then turned to us and said 'are you checking in?'....it was like a scene from the League of Gentlemen. Add onto this the 50-yr-old carpet in the hallway; towels that were curling at the ends; it felt like staying in a teenager's bedroom in the 1970s. Should have cost £30/£40 a night as it was like a hostel....£100 for this is obscene.

Great experience
Pros:

Second time there will not go anywhere else if stopping in darlington, staff are great and friendly, rooms are a bargain and really clean. The mattress I slept on I've never been on a more comfortable one in years. Location amazing walking distance from the station and town

Everything great value for money brilliant location and nice helpful managers 💯

Cons:

Stated there was parking but unfortunately there wasn't although manager showed me alternative which was spot on so no complaints.

Lovely room. Great value and location.

Perfect location. Lovely modern room.

Cons:

The only blip is there are no keys anymore to open the windows. I did ask for one but never got it. As well as the option of fresh air, the bathroom will eventually suffer from damp.

Superb value homely accommodation in Darlington
Pros:

Well located for Darlington centre and railway station. Good well priced and fresh cooked food abailable in bar. Friendly staff and homely atmosphere. Great centre for the incredible scenery and historical legacy of the North East, much easily accessible by the good public transport in the region.

Cons:

No breakfast but plenty of other outlets available nearby.
