The food and owners were great. Very relaxing and friendly.
Les hôtes sont particulièrement charmant et accueillant. Le souper était délicieux avec des produits locaux.
Everything was really good: all the beds are super comfy, nice size for all rooms, extremely clean and tidy. Also, there are several options for food and drink; be advised that you must pre-order breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so they are ready for you.
We couldn't eat or drink there as it is very priced. If you are travelling under budget, I recommend looking around for other options.
One of the windows in room 24 has a gap, so my family was a little bit cold and not able to sleep properly.
Lack of toilet paper: they only left one roll for us, never asked if needed more. Luckily, I always travel ready for any kind of inconvenience.
Though located some distance from the Quilotoa crater, the drive is well worth it. Sleeping at a lower altitude than the hotels near the rim made the stay far more comfortable. The staff were wonderful—warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly.
Un lugar encantador. Excelente Atención.
אהבתי שהמקום שקט יפה מטופח האוכל טעים החדרים מאוד טובים נקיים המקלחות מצויינות המיטות נוחות והמארכים פשוט מדהימים נחמדים מאוד מאוד

Tout était parfait
Amazing hospitality of the owners. We arrived late at night and they still called back their cook to serve us dinner. We felt welcomed and well cared for! Cute room with very comfy bed and warm blankets. Had a very restful sleep. Delicious dinner and breakfast.
Shower was intermittently cold, hot water didn’t last long.
Rooms are lovely. Well equipped and beautifully decorated. Beautiful bathroom too. And a great view from the balcony. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both excellent and I enjoyed a great conversation with Mamá Hilda after dinner and in the morning too. There are quite a lot of activities available to do in Chugchilán. I would have enjoyed to stay 2 or 3 nights there just to relax instead of only an overnight stay during the Quilotoa Loop.
The room was really lovely! Spacious with a good view, the bed was cosy, and the lounge area was lovely to relax in. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, although there wasn’t anyone around when I arrived initially.
Couldn’t get the shower hot reliably and had a slight confusion about dinner. It is common in Ecuador I have found for dinners in these areas to be included in the price as they are done family dinner style. On arrival, I was told about dinner time and then was also kindly walked to dinner for the set meal. I know I also should have checked but there was no mention about the price until checkout. It perhaps would be useful to be told the cost for dinner when they tell you about the timing of it, as it doesn’t come across as optional and was portrayed as an inclusion. Again I accept this is partially on me but just feel like it could be made clearer. A gorgeous property but also very quiet so wouldn’t recommend if you are solo and looking to meet people ☺️
Mama Hilda's daughter and her husband were very friendly and welcoming hosts. They took good care of us and we enjoyed chatting with them about their lives in Ecuador.
The staff is really friendly: they do remind me on a couple of grandparents who want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. After traveling 3 weeks through Ecuador this place has by far the nicest rooms we have seen. They are spacious, new and very nice decorated providing all facilities you need.
The owner of the hotel provided dinner in the evening which was really good at a very fair price. Communication was a bit hard because they don't speak English very well, but the owners are very open and willing to help.
I can't think of anything I did not like here
The room was very clean with a nice view and had an amazing full shower with hot water and massage settings! Very comfortable bed, too. The staff were very very nice - unfortunately I got bitten by one of the dogs from the village and the staff drove my to see a local doctor and also offered to drive my to Quilotoa for a fee as I could not finish rest of my hike.
There was very little toilet paper left and not a lot of toiletries. There is no light in the shower, which is a bit odd. The soup for dinner was very nice, the rest of the food options somehow limited - but that's quite common in the area. The rooms in the area have no heating, and it gets very cold at night - luckily the fireplace in the room is quite strong and heats up the room in about 15 mins.
