Ok for one night. Check-in was quick and easy. Room was clean.
Cons:

The entrance to the hotel property was hard to find from the main road. The room was quite dark (out to the back).

Pros:

Set back from the main road, it was a nice building in a quiet area. 35 Min walk to the centre of town. 5 mins to nearest restaurant.

Cons:

Unfortunately in the morning, we had to speak to the owner. Told him that there were a number of issues with the room. His response was to deny there were any problems, even before he had gone to check.

The mattress felt old, collapsed and I could feel the springs. This was apparently impossible as it was commercial and other people loved it.

The bedside tables were sticky. That was just the furniture polish and the room was clean.

There were large sticky head marks on the headboard. I asked him to come to the room and see them. I was told that the marks were from hair product from previous occupants.

He insisted that the headboard had been cleaned, despite the grim sticky patches still being there.

Great wee find on the way to the airport
Pros:

Great location for an overnight stay before heading to the airport.

Cons:

Our neighbouring room was a little noisy. Not the hotels fault but walls a wee but thin to muffle them out.

Value for money but not exceptional
Pros:

The property was in a great location for what we wanted (visiting family). Just off a main road but very quiet setting.

Cons:

Floors in bedrooms and hall were very “squeaky” so woke you up when someone walked down hallway. Breakfast was good value and tasty but expected black pudding when in Scotland.
