Shame about the guests
Pros:

Chap at reception (owner), very polite and checked in very quickly. The room itself was clean and ample room for a single. I didn't utilise the facilities so can't comment on them.

Cons:

The constant noise. First off it was the creaking bed, turns out it wasn't just mine. I could hear everything and everyone. From the extremely loud guests walking back and forth along the creaky hallway late on in the evening, to the constant raised voices and slamming of doors.

The road leading down to the hotel really needs to be looked at and pot holes filled in.

Guter Startpunkt für Edinburgh und Stirling
Pros:

Auld Mill House ist ein nettes kleines Hotel. Die Betten waren schön groß und bequem, die Zimmer ruhig. Das Zimmer war sauber und gepflegt. Es gab gutes kontinentales und warmes englisches Frühstück. Bei den warmen Speisen konnte man vorher auswählen, was man essen möchte.
Zur Info: bis Dunfermline Zentrum (mit vielen Pubs und Restaurants) sind es ca. 3 km. Eine Bahnstation mit 2 Zügen pro Stunde nach Edinburgh ist nur 7 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt.

Cons:

Die Zufahrt ist schwer zu finden (schmal wie eine Hauseinfahrt gegenüber vom Autohaus Arnold Clark) und recht holperig - sehr langsam fahren.

Okay enough for a night.
Pros:

Good place, cleans and lovely hosts. Loud at night as floors creak and the driveway need serious work. There are a lot of potholes on the way to the car park.

Floors creak when people are going past. Driveway to the car park was full of potholes.

Pros:

Plenty of parking spaces, easy access to motorway and convenient for town centre. Very hospitable staff. Good breakfast.

Cons:

Access road a bit rough. Vegetarian/vegan breakfast choice a bit limited.
