The staff were as welcoming and helpful as I've always found them to be. My room had a great view of the pier and seafront.
My only gripe would be that breakfast is no longer included in the price. I can't eat enough in the morning to justify paying nearly £12 when I only used to order a pot of tea and scrambled eggs on toast. It did at least I wasnt pressed for time in the mornings and could make my own arrangements.

Old carpet. Dated decor. No fridge. Basic and small tv.
Good location we had a sea view onsite parking and only a five minutes away from the town and there's plenty of bars and restaurants all round the hotel
There is nothing not to like about lauriston hotel
the wet room is particularly good, and the cleaning staff were friendly and kind. We have never travelled with a wheelchair before and the staff were most helpful. everyone was most welcoming to our little dog.
we were disappointed that no meals were served. when we stayed at the Lauriston in 2024 they served an excellent breakfast and dinner and we did expect the same this time.

No restaurant anymore. No community feel anymore. Place has lost its friendly atmosphere. Just a bed for the night now unfortunately. Used to be a great hotel catering for anyone with visual difficulties. All that seems to have gone, such a shame. Missed the entertainment.
