The hotel was in an excellent location with a lovely view of the beach. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and adequate bathroom facilities.
We booked a superior double room thinking we would have more room. Although the room was clean and tidy it was quite small . There were two chairs set by the window but they were not the most comfortable more like dining room chairs . The bathroom was very small with only just enough room to get out of the stand in shower to dry yourself which was a little disappointing as we thought we were treating ourselves to something more superior.
The lauriston hotel constantly maintains it's excellent record of service and value each time we go there.A remarkable hotel with breakfast fit for a king.

Fantastic location, every member of staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Particularly the chap behind the bar. Breakfast was superb.
Very limited parking, we had to pay £14 to park in a nearby car park. We did only have single rooms but thought they were rather cramped. My room had a broken window that would not close.
The room was clean and very spacious,the lady on reception duty was always smiling and was very charming,we had a few questions and she answered all of them with a smile,breakfast was 1st class with everything from cereals to fresh fruit and up to a full English,the restaurant staff were very helpful and considerate,my wife who is in a wheelchair and needs quite a lot of room to manoeuvre was given a table with plenty of room around it,so Thank you for that.
Parking was a bit of an issue,I had to wait for someone to move their vehicle so I could get ours in a parking area,nothing else springs to mind.

Hotel a little tired looking inside but reflected in the price
The hotel was nice but very dated on the floor I was staying. This wasn't a problem because everything was very clean. The breakfast was very good as was the parking. The location of the hotel is very good for both beach and town.
The hotel manager tried to get away with charging a different amount to that accepted on the Booking.com website. The staff then argued that a different amount should be payable on checkout and not what the booking showed. This is all unacceptable behaviour. If you advertise and accept a booking on Booking.com then you must honour it. It doesn't mean you can try and get away by charging a guest a different amount! It is entirely common, as you well know, for room rates to change based on different days of the week.
