The staff were all very courteous and helpful. The hotel was in a great location overlooking a beautiful park. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was ideal for exploring the surrounding area.
Nothing.
La posizione, il bellissimo giardino

Clean, friendly and superb breakfast

Die Lage ist ganz gut. Das Zimmer war ok. Frühstück war auch in Ordnung.
The whole place was clean and tidy and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Dinner was good, we ate in the restaurant twice.
Breakfast was good but more variety of fruits would have suited us better.
The room was spacious and well appointed with a welcome electric fan as the weather was very hot.
There is lots of parking in the hotel grounds.
The window in the room was glazed with opaque glass - it was at the back and was above a flat roof but we did not like being unable to see out and to see what the weather was doing. I did ask after we first arrived if there was an alternative but there wasn't anything. Also, although large windows, they only opened about 2 inches at the bottom (understandable for safety but essential given how hot the weather was) and we had to move the furniture to access them. This is obviously an issue for cleaning staff as well as there were cobwebs around the frames.
The en-suite could have benefitted from some shelving and a towel rail. There was just nowhere to put a toilet bag and there was one hook on the door and one towel ring - this for 2 nice large bath sheets and two hand towels.
The wi-fi was awful despite having someone reset the router. This was very frustrating when searching places to go etc.
The location was good, parks across the road for dog to play etc,
Breakfast was really nice and plenty of options, staff on breakfast (Young lad) was really attentive and polite.
The lady at reception wasn't the friendliest, There were stains on the bedroom wall.
£15 charge per dog which wasn't mentioned when booking.
Just had an excellent couple of nights at the Park Hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The meals were excellent. Our booking in was well organised by Wendy who like all the staff we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We'd certainly stay here again if ever in the area.
I've been coming to the Park Hotel for 11 years now. I really enjoy coming as overall I find it comfortable and the staff in the dining room are so warm and friendly. The food is lovely with very generous portions.
I'm pleased to see The Park continuing to be used by locals, business people and holidaymakers alike.
It can't be easy surviving in the current economic climate and I think The Park's secret weapon is its dining room staff.
One or two other members of staff let it down a bit by being a little unfriendly but the dining room staff score a consistent 10/10, they are so welcoming but at the same time efficient and always busying themselves about and keeping the place looking nice.
Some of the rooms are, like others have said, a bit tired and I think, given this is what causes most of the poor reviews, The Park would do themselves a favour to stop allocating these rooms until they are updated. I can see that there has been an effort made to improve things around the hotel with new soft furnishings etc.
Thank you to all who made my stay a good one, the dining room team went above and beyond.
I’ve been coming to the Park Hotel for 11 years now. I really enjoy coming as I find it comfortable and the staff in the dining room are so warm and friendly. The food is lovely although the portions could possibly feed two people but I struggled on 😀
I’m so pleased to see The Park continuing to be used by locals and holidaymakers alike. Business people also use it which is great.

Some of the rooms are, like others have said, a bit tired but I can see that there has been an effort made to improve things. I’m sure this will continue and I hope to be coming for years to come.
Thank you to all who made my stay a good one, one in particular going above and beyond.
Montrose unfortunately has seen better days and with the decline of the town and it's high street im afraid the Park Hotel has followed. Internet was non existent in our first room and the hotel kindly moved us to another room where we could connect to WiFi, not the best signal but it was there. The rooms were tired with water stained ceilings and in both rooms cobwebs hanging down, cleaning at low level was OK but kept to a minimum. The second room also had 2 single beds pushed together so a chasm opened up if we got too close, my mistake for thinking it was a king size bed lol. But honestly I could put up with all that if it wasn't for the curtness of some of the employees, if the guest was Scottish there were pleasantries as soon as they knew you were English it felt hostile, I've been going to Scotland twice a year for almost 40 years and never felt so unwelcome, hence to say we will not return to this hotel. Certainly overpriced for the service received unfortunately...it would have been 1 star if it wasn't for the positive action of the young individual on reception whom did all possible to ensure we had a room with Internet access...
Conveniently located. Excellent on-site parking. Warmly welcomed by highly efficient reception. Very well appointed room. First class breakfast.
Over bath shower was not the easiest to regulate. Would have preferred shower cubicle.
The hotel is in a beautiful location, near shops ,cafes, restaurants & playpark.
Staff were lovely and helpful , and the bedrooms were clean ,tidy, and spacious , breakfast was fantastic.
Nice and comfy stay
Rooms
Good ,dinner menus poor for choice
Room could have been much bigger .Walk in shower . F
Hyvä sijainti ja ilmaiset parkkipaikat. Vastaanotto auki pikkuhotelliksi varsin myöhään illalla. Huoneet olivat puhtaita.
Ilmanvaihto huoneessa todella huono. Sää oli niin viileä, että ikkunan auki pitäminen ei ollut vaihtoehto. Huoneen off-season hinta oli tasoon nähden liian korkea.
Absolutely everything, such s lovely hotel and staff were amazing
The breakfast was very nice.
